- Kim Yo-jong, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's powerful sister, has slammed Seoul's offer of economic aid in return for denuclearisation steps, calling it the "height of absurdity". Kim also said that Yoon should "shut his mouth" and called him "simple and still childish".
"No-one barters their destiny for corn cake," she said in a statement.
South Korea's president Yoon Suk-yeol had Wednesday reiterated the plan, which he first mentioned in May.

This reminds me of when the USA tried to pay Turkey $100 billion to not buy Russias air defense systems yet the USA refuse to sell Turkey any air defense systems because the USA want Turkey to have zero air defense systems so Turkey could be easily attacked by its fellow NATO members if Turkey didn't obey the orders of USA. Turkey refused the $100 billion from USA and went ahead and pay about 2 billion for Russia air defense systems. Moral of the story is that it's better to be armed and able to defend yourself than to be defenseless because the defenseless unorganized men are basically a slave to the armed orgainized men example government system vs civilian population, if the government say wear mask they simply use their organized armed men (police and soldiers) to intimidate and force the unorganized civilian population to comply.
Turkey should get their money back. Those air defense systems cannot even protect Russia.
I would have took the deal. We been seeing in ukraine how effective those systems are.
@@blackdubz Russian air defense system is better than having nothing because if it was no good then Russia army would have already been completely wiped off the face of the earth with drone strikes and missiles from Ukraine in Donbas and clearly that's not the case. The Russian army still controls most of Donbas and Russia is only using less than 15% of its army while the majority of the Russian army has not yet even been deployed to Ukraine.
