Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May go head-to-head against their opposite numbers from Australian Top Gear in a car-based version of The Ashes.
In this clip the teams are involved in a rally race around the grounds of a typical English country house.

Regardless of whether that overtake was staged, that was some of the best driving I've ever seen from James.

I think nowadays it's multiple people who play the Stig, probably a different guy who specialises in a certain type of driving. The BBC don't ever want what happened with Ben Collins to happen again, where one guy played the Stig in almost all his appearances and was able to write a memoir exposing secrets. With numerous actors/drivers, there can't be any one person who can outright claim that they're the Stig in future.
Yep. Because the cars used in the video are Proton S2000 cars, the fact that he's a really good rally driver (although he would never beat his brother), being British and his scheduling being round about right for the time of filming, I suspect "The Stig" in this case is Alister McRae, the son of Jimmy McRae and brother of Colin.
of course multiple people play the stig caracter from the start......im pretty sure Ben collins cant drift a modified lorry or even drive in a rally stage like this

'James May' racing in this and the challenge against Top Gear Germany were some of the biggest and most enjoyable laughs from the whole series.
Hamster described the Satria Neo as a piece of crap in the Cheap Car Challenge like how Jezza and Capt. Slow did with their cars. Now this S2000 version is completely something else, something more epic :)
