As a Dragonmaid player that hates Drytrons with the passion of a thousand burning suns, this was fantastic to watch.
That was awesome! I always find it hard to face against drytron since they are annoying to deal with. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to yu-gi-oh since I just started playing master duel about a week ago. Since dragon maids is the first deck I didn't know that the combo you are doing is possible. I still got a long way to learn on mastering dragon maids.
Yugioh nowadays is all about knowing what to negate or not, so after you face the same deck 2-3 times you will know what to do.
this duel was my first time against drytron haha. And about learning dragonmaid, just take your time and duel more, you will learn eventually what you can do.
U need to bait herald and chain link. Or craft droplet

Im just now learning Dragonmaid plays and holy crap, i didnt realize chamber could get the fusion monsters. Also learned a lot from the play with changeover fusing house and using changeover to bounce to destroy and go into sheou. Well played.

Chamber can get the fusions back if they're fusion summoned(she cant bring back House if she was summoned with Sheou Effect)
as a traptrix player who dislikes facing the dragon maids, this was still really satisfying to watch

I actually didn't even realize you can transform Chamber into House or Sheou
Chamber can special summon any dragonmaid monster lv7+, so Sheou and House does match this requirement. The only thing that you need to keep in mind is, you can only special summon with this method IF she was fusion summoned and not special summoned from other cards effects.(like Sheou effect that brings House, that House can't be special summoned by chamber, etc)

Dragonmaid is kinda tricky, you will learn how to play eventually, just keep dueling and you shall improve with experience

I see Downtime in your decklist, but I've always wondered if that card is any good. I've cut it from my own Dragonmaid deck ages ago, but now I see people using Dragonmaids in MD and a lot of them use Downtime.
it's a good answer to skill drain or some bs and it's versatile cuz you can use for searching as well.
It's not a great card, but having 1 copy don't hurt at all.
You can bounce your dragonmaid in a chain as well, like she will be destroyed/banned/bounced by an effect, you can chain downtime and resolve first.
Not a great card, but useful, so i would say it's worth having 1 copy in your deck.
@@felipelink14 It can also be a use for an extra trigger of Housemaid's effect.
For me, just 1 copy wouldn't hurt. Also, you can chain downtime (chain link 2) on tidying (chain link 1) and both will resolve.
I didn't know Chamber could pull House from graveyard. Or am I misinterpreting what happened? If that's the case, that is super useful to know.
Chamber can special summon any of the bigger dragonmaids from the GY, including House and Sheou!
im new to this too, and sometimes I can summon house sometimes i can't using chamber. After researching what I learned was sheou and house needs to be summoned properly before they get to graveyard so they can get pulled out (if house was put on field from sheou effect, then sent to graveyard, chamber cant switch to her).
Damn, I've been playing Dragonmaids for a while and I didn't think of that! I always made sure House didn't get destroyed, but now I know how to bring her back~
@@granberrybg3322 you are correct. This applies to any fusion monsters if they are special summoned by other means except fusion. If they go to GY, then it doesn't come back out.
Only if she was Fusion Summoned first.
This replay had my yaw dropped the entire time, for two reasons.
First of all, that you managed to beat this Harold slave, because damn, never thought it'd be possible because, and that's the second reason, god damn, seeing drytron exhaust their full arsenal of bullshittery on you makes me convinced it's the most broken deck in this game by FAR. holy hell, as if unlimited omninegates (which he managed to summon not once, but twice during his godforsaken turn) weren't enough, they also have this borderline broken 4000 attack boss monster that has the best protection effect (non targetable) AND can send not one, but as many of their opponents face up cards to the grave (which is not destruction and bypasses destruction protection) as they have resources in their GY to banish. But worst of all, a f*cking graveyard activated, NOT ONCE PER TURN, change of heart (which permanently takes your monster, mind you). Oh and it obviously also summons itself back out. Oh and just about very single drytron is, of course, a foolish burial and/or targeted monster and/or spell searcher.... of course.

Drytron is at his full power in master duel. So yeah, they have a lot of resources and it can make those long plays for some turns.
But cyber angel(both cards that drytron use) just should be straight banned, maybe in the future.

AYOOOO I WAS GOOSEPUMP WHEN U WON. Fighting against Dryton is hard thanks to all their anulation effects. Hopefully i could catch on some tips for this matchup thanks

I'm new to this modern era of Yugioh. I just started playing master duel and have been using Dragonmaid. The Spheres confuse me so much. Everyone always uses them and talk about how its a must have and so good, but I don't see the advantage except it sending things to the grave. Why sacrifice out 2 big dragons on turn 1 for it? And why use Kitchen's ability to get Nurse? I know you are far far better than me, but I would have used kitchen to get either Parlor or Chamber. In the case of Round 1, why not get get Chamber to search Changeover and already have Sheou out round 1? It still would have sent dragons to the GY so whats the point in heavenly spheres. Turn 3 is already left with nothing on the board or your hand.
I'm not insulting you at all, I'm just confused and trying to learn. Love to get some feedback from you.
Let's start with the first turn alright.
First about the Kitchen search. That's definitely a ''missplay'' from me, i would go easily for Parlor(Best option by far) and then bring nurse with hieratic so it would revive parlor in GY, at that time i had a massive preference to set nurse in the GY ASAP. About searching for chamber for changeover/sheou t1, that's not possible because i would have to sent chamber to GY due to kitchen effect, searching chamber(spell/trap search) would be the same as parlor(universal dragonmaid search), that's a setup for t2(aka turn3, but it's my 2nd turn) not t1.
Why making Hieratic with the big ones. Well, that's a fairly easy question to be answered, let's start with why you should bring hieratic first. So, why would i bring hieratic in the first place? Hieratic has a quick effect that can be used anytime in your opponent turn, his effect is: tribute a monster then bounce a face-up card. IF he is tributed(by his effect or some other bs) you can special summon any dragon from your deck but his atk/def is 0/0. This is nuts my friend, you have a quick effect bounce(that's a protection, really strong because it's not ''destroy'' so a lot of monsters are affected by this and can be used to stop combos/can be used to protect yourself against raigeki/lightning storm) and a FREE summon from your deck, that's literally super strong! And the icing on the cake, he is extremely easy to be summoned, only need 2 dragon monsters. Now, why would i trade 2 ''big ones'' for a hieratic? Because you never want to have your big dragons in the field, they're useless in your opponent turn, the little ones can bring the big ones from the GY in the enemy/your battle phase, so you always should use the big one's when it's possible. What do you think a 2600atk 2700atk monster would do in the opponent turn? if you think that's a good board, i'm afraid to say you still have a long way to go.
Bonus: Sheou or hieratic t1? -> i would make sheou t1 only if parlor is in my gy or hand, if parlor is not in my hand or gy, Hieratic is better. Parlor is the most core dragonmaid, you def need to have her ASAP so you can start generate resources, Sheou can be great in some hands, but sometimes Hieratic is better, cuz it's still a interaction(bounce), not stronger than sheou(omni negate+destroy), but it's still valid because you get a free summon from your deck, and that's why hieratic is really strong.
Any other questions feel free to say and i will try my best to explain.
Additional info about Hieratic Sphere: its effects activate separately, so even if the 1st eff got negated, you can still use the 2nd eff to special summon from the deck. The card is so good because it helps you make good setup even if you have a not-so-good starting hand, as it can even give you easy access to your one-card combo to get you back on track when you're losing hope.
Nothing bring me joy right now like dirty Dryton players losing in terms of Yugioh

i still think that i had a long way to master this deck, so i might not be the best person to make a guide.
all i can say is, after dueling like 10-20 times, try to see your old replays(duel 1 to 5) and then you will see what missplay you made, what you could have done and didn't know at that time, etc.
this deck is not that complex but has a lot of plays so it will take some time to learn

Thanks for the great video i hope in the upcoming ban list they ban Eva so that the cancerous way drytron plague the game stop at least a little.

this is a good reference to come back from time to time, since I still have a hard time piloting the deck
after like 10-15 duels, try to see your replays from duel 1 to 5, you will see some plays that you could do it and didnt know at that moment, and that's how you can learn something from those decks with a lot of plays
Returning player from ten years ago I keep seeing borrelswoard in dragonmaid but it’s never used in videos.
Can someone explain why it’s there? Like what’s its purpose in the deck?
Borrelsword is good to have in your extra for some reasons.
1 - DragonMaid does not use the extra deck a lot, so it's basically free slot.
2 - DragonMaid does spam monster(generate resource), so it can easily bring Borrelsword if needed after getting setup
3 - Borrelsword is a monster that will kill anything that you need+Attack twice per battle phase+Boost his atk so it's not just 3.5k+Can't be destroyed by battle IF needed another turn.
He's like a joker card, not core, but very useful IF needed and it's easily summoned with dragonmaid resource generation
That's why i have 1 borrelsword and 1 borreload in my extra, just in case y'know

Drytron is kinda hard to play, so many options and the combos are really extensive, hope you can help your friend with it! Never played with the deck so can't help ya.

Watching replays like this has me wondering why Drytrons were ever printed. Big, untargetable beatsticks that for some reason have a change of heart effect from grave you can use of your opponent's turn, along with inherent synergy with Heralds for negates and the ability to nigh-indefinitely foolish burial and search out cards. It's baffling when Foolish Burial is limited to one and Change of Heart is forbidden that Drytrons really don't feel like they get any meaningful restrictions to play around like other archetypes that lock themselves to a particular attribute or summoning type. The fact that there's such a ridiculous amount of interaction on opponent's turns seems really unhealthy for the game when generic answers exist for this reason
Drytron is on his full power on Master Duel
In tcg/ocg some cards are on the ban list so the deck has less power.
But yeah, drytron are pretty strong
What the most meta deck right now? Dragonmaid? Tri-brigade or Skystriker? Sorry for questioning, i'm Duel links palyer, These kind of cards are new to me.
Virtual World, Tri-brigades(with lyrilusc or Zoodiac), pure zoodiac, Drytron.
DragonMaid and Sky striker are strong, but not that strong when comparing against VW/Tri brigades/Zoo/Drytron
You can beat those decks with DragonMaid and Sky striker, but they always have the upper hand.

Dragonmaid has a lot of plays, i made some mistakes in this duel(small ones, but could be better), in the beginning it can be very hard, but after some duels you will start thinking more clearly about what this deck can do and what you should do.

@@felipelink14 Yeah it was just about why you didn't make 2nd hiratic seal around turn 6-7 to potentially send back the 4k/4k ritual (although also considered it just couldn't have been targeted anyways... and you made your 2nd one later so figured it was something like that... I've only played drytron once so yee not entirely familiar with their cards (and didn't read it's text) but I do play dragonmaids so was just curious for a sec why you didn't make the nurse and chamber into a seal then standby bring back nurse and chamber... but as I said potentially not being able to be targeted would make sense)
@@cbruxx hieratic seal dont target, so it can bounce that 4k monster. BUT at that time, i didnt know about that, yugioh keywords sometimes can surprise you.
Hieratic seal just bounce without targeting.
Before this duel i hadnt tested hieratic interaction with target protection monster and i could not afford a missplay, that's why i played for the safe one that i knew it would work.
Eh.. i wanna see Dragonmaids win going 2nd. Probably not gonna happen a lot

when you see the replay it's different, in the middle of a duel when you need to think about a lot of things and don't know your enemy resources it's hella different.

It can take a while to properly understand yugioh nowadays, but trust me, it's not that hard, you just need to know some principles and you should be fine.
@@felipelink14 can you explain on how you counter the Herald effect?
@@Apollyon47 Forbidden droplets is an answer(he can't answer forbbiden droplets if you discard a monster for the effect) making him negate so much that he don`t have more fairy cards in his hand to activate his effect. Solemn judge/Solem Strike can only be answered with counter traps so he can't negate as well.

The first one is searching Nurse with kitchen instead of Parlor. (At that time i liked to put nurse asap in the gy, after some duels i did value parlor over nurse infinite times tho)

The only thing I'll say is that it feels absolutely illegal that a Dragonmaid player can make moves and summon 20 monsters DURING MY TURN
Nowadays a lot of decks can do that, but i feel ya, sometimes my friends do some jokes ''oh can i play now?, nah he still want to play in my turn'', she's the boss card of this deck tho.
Man you really should’ve seen this other deck called Orcust. That deck truly let you play during your opponent’s turn.
We Dragonmaid players prefer the term "our turn".

Duel events often ban archetypes who are not from the event(example: eldlich/herald banned on xyz festival)

That was my first duel against Drytron, so i didn't know if he was making missplay or not... Regardless of his missplay, i'm very fond of this duel!

i personally feel it's a 50/50 matchup. Both can generate a lot of resources, but drytron can have the upper hand with early heralds.
