Many people - especially Germans - who complain about border controls in spend their vacations in countries with border controls, where visa are necessary, with many other restrictions and do not complain - they travel to these countries voluntarily!
waiting in lines. if you have to cross the border twice daily to go to work and back home, then waiting in line twice daily is really annoying really fast.
Living in Luxembourg, I can concur. But this can and will be automated sooner or later. The long term prospects are disproportionately beneficial@@dorkstarling615
Imaging being stoped and controlled by armed grumpy sleep deprived men each time when driving from Richmond to Washington to work.
Thanks Angela🤝
LOL this just shows their original plan was faulty from the beginning. What's next? Let's build a wall?
Walls and fences are being built on external EU borders as we speak and that’s where they need to be. Reinstating borders with Belgium or Poland is just dumb populist nonsense.
Everyone is claiming asylum.
So nobody will be rejected.
Irregular migration? I think you mean illegal migration🤷
They are *ILLEGAL*... Not irregular...
Raphael basically saying, it's impossible, there's nothing we can do, let's give up.
Tell to the french. They closed their border with italy ages ago.
Still didn't work though. They just go through other EU borders instead
Curious how I have been able to cross that "closed" border several times without a single problem. 😆
Hungary built a fence at the southern border to keep schengen area safe. Costed 100+ million Euro. EU did not pay any of it. in fact punished Hungary with 200 million euro.
What a massive loss of freedom for some small amount of safety
What loss of freedom? Citizens of EU members are free to move as before, just the minor inconvenience of showing ID at the border.
@@truthismycause2800 it's not minor, I don't have to go through those checks when I move between towns, and what about non eu citizens?
@@user-ke7vd2sc6s Jesus! Comparing going from town to town with going from one country to another🤦♂️
The purpose of reinstating border checks is precisely to check non EU citizens and barr them from entering into Germany if they don't have proper documentation.
Open borders worked when Europe was serious with guarding its external borders instead of using our border forces to provide ferry services to people smugglers. Slowly we will lose all our goodies here in the EU due to the inability of leadership to enforce laws and finally put some order in the illegal and uncontrolled migration.
remember kids, it's only temporary until its permanent
Is that a bad thing?
As it should be.
Yeah, it's BS! Placate the far right at the cost of European unity. Meanwhile anyone who really wants to get in just crosses through a field somewhere 🙄
@@GTA5Player1 Europe unified? Are you sure?

Until 1995 Germany and all other Schengen area countries Controlled their own borders and there was no issue about it.
I even think there should be random checkpoints all across the country, not just by the border.
Can you blame them?
@@noelleangeliki yes
yes!
Excuse me, was the land border control not present all this time? I've been checked everytime passing from Czech Republic to Germany since 2015
Whether you agree or not this is the best they can do, there's legitimate reason why the far-right is winning, the people definitely has influence in this decision, as saying goes, Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
Just a side effect of the massively succesful multicultural societies we live in.
Of course it’s possible.
8:15 what was that boomer doing
Hungary doesn't need to deport neither pay gratifications to any immigrant to leave the country, ask me why.
Hungary has let in thousands of immigrants to take low paying jobs as bus drivers, construction workers and even invites Chinese police to patrol.
Being curious about the subject, why?
Cause nobody wanna live there?
Who wants to move to Hungary anyway?
Just to clarify, Hungary doesnt pay gratificatios or deport anyone bebause they chose to do it. In turn the EU is holding back Billions of Euros of payment to Hungary.
What up? What happened with the "Willkommenskultur" ?😂😂😂
in my opinion the EU border should be more secure. Give FRONTEX more power
Should KEEP them in place PERMANENTLY.
The UN asylum system has to be reassessed, at the moment it is not working as the UK has found out to its cost and public dissatisfaction.
I’m more concerned about the old German man that ran his hands through the reporter’s hair. Is that normal in German?
Europe doesn't want to pay for Germany's welcoming policy
Where do all the rejects of Germany go? There's a huge hole in your theory.

Oh so the far right had a point... surprise surprise !
Germany plans to reintroduce controls at all its land borders? Isn't it against the rules?, oh wait, Germany makes the rules, so it doesn't apply to them :-)
Im from Netherlands i completely understand the reason but here we have people living at the border where kids from germany come to school in Netherlands what about them? And doesn't this go agains the eu open border rules?
The Netherlands plan to reintroduce border controls as well. But why not? People who have nothing to hide show their passport or identity card. Denmark has randomly border controls since 8 years! In case of border-controls people without or with invalid passports are rejected.
Furthermore, many people travel voluntarily to countries with border controls and many other restrictions - and don't complain.
This policy is all talk and no action. It won't stop illegals coming into the EU.
Also Germany a couple of days ago: let's not restrict the movement of russian spy diplomats because Schengen free move is essential 😂
Yes, everything looks more and more like some german politicians are on russian payroll. First, after the annexation of crimea, all of sudden half of africa and central asia wanted to move into europe and germany was celebrating this and working hard toward stopping countries who wanted to guard their borders properly. Then they built pipeline for russia avoiding the rest of europe - directly to russia and just few weeks ago germany was attacking poland for their approach towards belarussian borders...
ILLEGAL not irregular
The German center and left will continue to give the public no choice but to vote for the right wing
F___ing Nederlands and Austria, Germany . Romanians waited 13 years to enjoy the Schengen area and now you eliminate it?
European country citizens have no problem showing their passports :)
Hopefully Ruzzians and Belaruzzians are rejected as well. Hungary has opened its borders for Putin's agents ...
Bismarck is disapointed.
Blablablabla...elections are comming🗣
They will never cut the welfare and it will always attract people. They are doing nothing substantial.
By 'irregular' you mean 'illegal'.
The Great Wall of Europe 2025
It causes less disruption than thousands of illegal immigrants.
About time. Germany is for German Values. ISLAM IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GERMAN VALUES.
There's quite a sizeable Turkish community living fine in Germany for a while now
@@soundscape26 true. But you know I don't mean Turks. Im talking about the latest arrivals who have said openly that they love death more than we love life.
Is the reason that Germany want border control with Austria that in fact Austria has a too open immigration policy, like my nabour country of Sweden? Bjørn, Norway
Your neighbor country is called Swedistan.
Austria is totally other world from germany and Austrians are gentle people and they do not bother or control anyone!

Germany is the primary culprit in introducing this illegal immigration disaster. Germany was promoting this madness for years and now all of us have to pay for this.
Germans thinks they can undo what has happened to their country 😂
Maybe, but they will find they have to pay them to leave.
Here’s a very wild possibility: instead of taking the car people get off and walk 500 meters to the right, then cross the border. What then?

I like how she blamed it on the rest of the EU
Yes typical, its hungary, greece and polands fault because they wanted to protect external borders in 2015... somehow.
the incident in Greece in 2020 at the borders with Turkey was great opportunity for europe to close the borders once and for all
