Mils. Great player, great All Black. A skilful, consistent and reliable fullback. A great team player, read the game extremely well, whether supporting, creating space and setting up teammates, or straight up outclassing opposition with incredible solo attacks. He was equally proficient playing defensively.

I always felt comfortable with Mils at fullback, reliable under the high ball, kicking and passing skills, speed. Always a safe option and i remember in 2006/7 he played a game or two at 12, 13 and Wing for the ABs one part there😅

Technically would’ve been the first All Black to play 100 but they waited for McCaw and then gave him his 100 against the Argies

Not true. McCaw and Muliaina were in track to get 100 in the same match. However, Dagg overtook Muliaina in the pecking order and so Muliaina didn’t play.
In fact, Muliaina wouldn’t have gotten to 100, but Dagg got dropped for a game due to an off field incident before the 2011 quarter final. This allowed Muliaina to play his 100th and final test.

He only played 100 tests. Went to his 100th test which was against Argentina in the quarter finals in 2011. Got injuried in that game too and ever played again.

Agree,,,he was suppose to be the first AB to reach 100 but to be fair all blacks coaching and management groups decided to rest him and make Richie maccaw be the first AB to reach 100 tests
