I agree. I wish they'd take this approach from now on. I get that a frustrated Claire is a funny Claire. But in the past, it felt silly that they pitched the series as her making a "gourmet version" of something when it seemed most of the time she was bending over backwards trying to "dumb things down" so her recipe was indistinguishable from something that came off a conveyor belt. (Not only that, but the final procedure was completely unusable for the home cook.) This is the first time that I can remember where she approached the challenge from the get-go with the attitude of, "The original isn't very good. I'm going to improve upon it, and make it possible for someone at home to do it too."

I’ve always said that in the beginning Brad brought the loyalty and Claire brought the volume. It’s Alive was where we first saw the fun[ky] editing we all know and love, and believe it or not Gourmet Makes was not originally well received. Now though, I think it’s all pretty even in terms of likability. I have my favorites, but I enjoy watching the entire cast. BA really did a great job on figuring out how to grow a channel
After Pop Rocks and Starbursts, these Poptarts are the episode we and Claire needed. Home-baking approved (no dehydrator), fully gourmet (100x better than original) and best of all no disaster day 3!. Please do a gourmet version of hot pockets. I've tried to get that dough right and the fillings but i just haven't been able to figure it out. The really important part is not just having it come out good, but being able to freeze them and reheat them and still be good. thats the part that screws everything up.

I’ve always said that in the beginning Brad brought the loyalty and Claire brought the volume. It’s Alive was where we first saw the fun[ky] editing we all know and love, and believe it or not Gourmet Makes was not originally well received. Now though, I think it’s all pretty even in terms of likability. I have my favorites, but I enjoy watching the entire cast. BA really did a great job on figuring out how to grow a channel

Please do a gourmet version of hot pockets. I've tried to get that dough right and the fillings but i just haven't been able to figure it out. The really important part is not just having it come out good, but being able to freeze them and reheat them and still be good. thats the part that screws everything up.
