Thank you so much for a thorough walk through of your dart process! I would LOVE a handsewing darts video and really hand sewing videos in general! It's such a necessary art ❤ Bliss you!
You’re very welcome and thank you! I absolutely love hand sewing, I do have a hand sewing playlist up with a few basic videos and I’m currently planning on uploading some more hand sewing videos soon, I’ll be sure to do one on darts.
Earlier this evening I just played with moving a dart on a dress I'm making, and it worked! If I had seen your video, it might not have taken so long! lol
this was really helpful. We see about darts usage but i havent seen a video like yours (you know, showing every change and the end result. It's a bit important for us, people who is starting, to not just see a 2D pattern but to put it in 3D visually). I appreciate your time! Really!!
Thank you so much for your videos it's very potential to help me for leaning sew by myself, I've subscribed for next good videos 😉❤ thank you form laos❤❤
Thanks you for making this video, I find it very useful. Where did you buy this roll of paper? I bought at the post office a parcel wrapping paper to use it for copying my patterns onto, but it is not good to use for that purpose. Please let me know what kind of paper this is that you are using and where you purchased it from. Many thanks.
Thank you for watching, I am glad it was helpful, I posted a link for the paper in the description. I got almost all of my materials from Amazon. I will post links to all I can find.
@@oma950 Hi there, yes there was an allowance for the dart. So my waist line is made up of the dart allowance plus a quarter of my waist circumference with ease.
@@iriskeniafernandez5647 I do it as an alternative option when closing/moving/Adding a dart. Otherwise I would have to slash open the dart to make changes to it and then transfer it to a new piece of paper. I like having basic bodice with different darts, so it’s the quickest and more neat way to having that done

I mean while drafting your pattern, the dart you included did you add allowance for the dart or did you take the dart from your body measurements
@@oma950 Hi there, yes there was an allowance for the dart. So my waist line is made up of the dart allowance plus a quarter of my waist circumference with ease.
Is the back the same for all kind of darts ?
Yes I left the back the same, I only made changes on the front darts
Why do you pivot whats the point of that?

what are darts for?
To shape a non stretch fabric around a body’s curves
Thank you
