Antares standing there so calm while Jesse tries desperately to tack him up shows what a good boy Antares is! Also, as someone who does not have a fully functioning left arm/hand, I appreciated that Jesse started off by saying he's not making fun of anyone who may not have the use of a hand/arm 😊❤️🐴
LOL! I think Antares was purposely being naughty after the jumps to teach you a lesson! He was like... "You want less control? I'll show you less control, silly human!" 😂
Antares is so patient with the one-handed mischief. He was always looking back like, "What are you doing, Jesse? This doesn't feel right." It was so funny to watch. It was so sweet to see Antares with Maisie. There was one moment where she was on her back, as if she was asking for Antares to rub her belly with his lips 🤣💚🐶🐎
This was great to watch and hear Jesse laughing throughout. What a lovely distraction from my work problems. Thank you Jesse and Antares for sending this bit of fun our way, and thanks to Penny and Maize for the great guest spots they did. Fantastic! 🌟
I've had a hemorrhagic stroke, and lost use of my right arm & Leg. I've been very creative with how I have to do things (showering, cooking, getting dressed, etc.). You've done very well figuring things out on the fly in just a short time. Well done. Antares seemed to be enjoying it too. Very cool how Maize connects with Antares. I'm impressed how you said at the beginning that you were not making fun of people who can only use one hand. 👏🏇
I love your videos. Here's an idea for a challenge for you and Matt. Our trainer had us do exercises over jumps to ensure we were balanced and relaxed. Set up 3 jumps one side of the arena, circle arena going over jumps. Tie your reins in a knot at the base of your horse's neck, circle the arena holding reins; as you approach the first jump, drop the reins and do various arm exercises while going over the jumps maintaining proper jumping position with your legs and body. Pick up reins after you complete the last jump, circle arena and repeat. Exercises over jumps include 1) hands on hips 2) simulate climbing a rope 3) simulate swimming back stroke 4) simulate swimming breaststroke. Singing while going over jumps ensures you are not holding your breath which causes your body to stiffen. Our trainer had us go over jumps with one foot out of the stirrup to make sure we were balanced. This will cause you will fall if you aren't balanced so you may want to skip this one. Arm exercises while singing over jumps would be a funny video
I love all his little noises and squeaks. A really lovely guy who shows so much love for all his animals. I never seen much of that in top yards,, ... More "Get me that horse" "take this horse" so this is really nice to see his passion and pure love for them.
Anteres was being a gem, standing there and waiting for you to tack him up left handed. Now you know what it is like to be a lefty without being hurt. I speak as one of those rare lefty’s who had had to tack a horse right handed after ending up with a broken wrist. You did a very good job!
Antares showed admirable calm and patience. He must sometimes think that the day's training is a bit chaotic. But he makes a great job. Well done and thanks Antares. Mazy, the horsy girl, loves you so much, you are both so cute. Congratulations Jesse! You have imagination, humour, you are a sensitive person and an excellent rider. Your videos provide pleasant moments of laughter, emotion, pleasure and the content can also help with its educational side. Many thanks! 😀😂👏💙
I adore how Antares was trying to help while you were getting your jacket off. What a hoot; always good to give yourself a bit of a challenge to keep things fresh :D
Oh Jesse, you’re a treasure. I broke my left elbow falling from my horse, and had a cast for six weeks. It was really frustrating at first, but luckily my horse was also patient and we got through it!
It shows that you are very atuned to your animals by the way they trust you. IT goes without saying that your dogs and horses extend the same love to each other that you model for them - you are an examplary horseman Jesse.
Your dismount made me 😆 🤣 and the nostrils in the ears comment had me rolling. This was fun Jess and you are such a wonderful horsemen, I enjoy everything you do!
Antares is such a kind horse and trust you... So sweet with Mazy and Antares.... They like each other... And I love to watch Penny and Mazy playing together. So cute 🥰😍🤩♥️
I was laughing so much watching this, thank you Jesse and Antares for the fun! My teeth, feet, knees would have been used a lot. I struggle with the fasteners on rugs with two hands so that was impressive! ❤🇩🇰
Oh sweet one, you are such a delight! Thank you for the challenge, the smiles and the giggles. Antares is so patient with your crazy antics. Sharing the fart info, had me on the floor. hahaha
Well that was fun! I needed a little laugh today. 😃 seriously though how sweet and calm is Antares to have everything so unfamiliar. ❤️ and Great job Jesse. You made it look easy! 👏 this video really made me appreciate what a rider with hand challenges has to go thru!
Lol Jesse! I did want to encourage you that riding one handed instead of direct rein is an adjustment for the horse also. But you are such a phenomenal rider and use your weight and body so correctly that it is very minimal because you do not rely on reins. Great video
I loved the whole thing.💕 This was so fun and interesting to watch. My favorite part was when Antares was checking your hand like, "Why is he doing that, is this hand ok?" 😂 I liked seeing your silly side, and how you are with the animals.❤
I laughed so much during this video Jesse! Antares face said it all:“What the…..??“ And something like „Yay, here we go!“ 😁 So much fun after a really challenging day. Thank you! Looking forward to the videos to come! 😊
I get it's a "hey how hard would this be" type challenge. But, you really show not only the struggles of disabilities, but the ingenuity of how incredibly amazing Para athletes are in everyday tasks and their choosen sport. 💗
Jess you are adorable and make us all smile, or laugh. I also have ADHD and loved seeing you bounce around. You are such a kind person, your videos are always informative, fun, and we would never miss them. Love from Australia
Too funny for words. It goes to show just how competent a rider you are! Dogs were so cute and amusing watching them play. And the integration between dog and horse was a site to see. Thanks for another entertaining video.
This was so much fun, thank you so much! You are such a good sport doing these challenges and making these videos full of laughter! My challenge would be to drive both Bear and Macho together in a twin cart!
Oh my goodness! I laughed so much. I'm just glad you weren't trying to do that with the western saddle and the Bridle with a bit on it or is it in it? Thank you for the work that you do to make these videos and take Antares for the brilliant work that he did. Be well, stay safe, love from Texas.
😊He is such a good boy. Reminds me why ponies and children get on so well. So long as the intention is loving and it's a safe trained animal, it's surprising how a kid will get by working things out. If they want to ride, they have to figure how to get on etc. Like in your video you could have asked for help, but look how you could manage. Fun to watch.
It was so much fun watching this video. Antares' ears, which are always expressive, were clearly saying, "What is his DEAL today??" He was a good sport, though. Must have learned it from Jesse.
I have a close friend who used to hop trains all over the US and he was trying to run and grab the ladder but he tripped. The ladder knocked him in the head, knocked him out and he fell and his arm went under the wheel which was......well let's just say I saw the picture of the scene and it wasn't pleasant to say the least. He had a traumatic brain injury and lost his dominant arm (with his most favorite Leaving Las Vegas tattoo sleeve which is the only part he complains about). He's doing fine now and doesn't use a prosthetic even though we went and got him one with a tattoo of the train and it's number on it. It's an above the elbow amputation so he has little left to help in some aspects. When you said "I'm really glad I have a mouth" I laughed and said "yup my friend is really glad he has a mouth too! He uses it for everything!" Way to go Jesse! You really did well! When I was 14 I was an intermediate eventer and a German big wig trainer did a clinic in my state that I attended. I wound up with no stirrups, no reins, with my right hand over my shoulder holding onto my left hand behind my back (does that make sense? Flexibility a must) and was this trainer's guinea pig while he taught everyone else. I was jumping 6 one, and two stride cavalettis and then ending with a turn off the rail over a little 2.5 foot oxor. My horse and I had trained like that in the first year I was riding her when I was 8 to strengthen my leg and seat and little did all the clinic attendees know, my 14.3h pony-horse would jump anything with just my leg and seat. Holding my hands like that behind my back was the hard part but after riding so much without reins and stirrups with my arms out to the side learning to ride, I was able to do it. I have a picture of that. It amazes me now to look at my riding pictures and to see my form. It ripped my soul out when I was told I had to stop riding due to a connective tissue disorder. I'd do anything to be around horses again. I love your channels, you and Matt. The gentle empathy you have with your animals is exactly how I grew up riding amd those years helped me train my service dog. She's brilliant now and takes excellent care of me. I love that about Antares. He realized things were weird and helped you. He's a really good horse and ever so sweet with the dog. They're super cute together.
I sprained my wrist earlier this year (my horse and I took a fall during a canter in the paddock). I wasn't able to use that hand/wrist for about 3 weeks. Managed it all, but YES DISMOUNTING! Cracked up at how you got off because that was me every day 🤣
@@jewlzgoldstein6 there was a video of Jesse walking through the barn with horses stabled and each one put their head over the door as he walked by someone called him "horse Jesus " which was adorable!

Apparently Antares likes to jump so now you need to show us more jumping😉
I love this as it does give a bit of an insider to disabled equestrians, where alot of things we take for granted are a real struggle for them.
Antares is so beautiful . He thought he would have a little challenge of his own. Much fun to watch
Your lucky that Baby Loves You. I really like how he anticipates what you want and he moves to comply. Jesse you do Awesome with all of your Animals!

Antares is lovely, and so patient. He moves beautifully. That was good fun.
I think I would have used my knees and feet a lot in this challenge! Like the boots on the horse? A knee would have made it so much easier! 😁
Yes! I was going "use your knee!!" At my phone lol

Very sweet horse and owner. And will give some heart to disabled riders. ❤

U r way too friggin funny. Luv this video. I laughed the entire video.
When I was learning to ride in Spain as a little kid we rode one-handed! And I deem you did a great job for a first time!
Very difficult with only one arm/hand. This is very difficult, too if You must close Your sandals! You are a pro!
