I love that all the horses are so clean and well taken care of. I’ve seen so many horses at vacation spots that look horrible. These were all so shiny and clean! Even the greys!

I spent time in S Sudan and Kenya back in the early 2000's. The African continent is amazing. Too bad so many bad players are in control. S Africa is a frigging mess.

I love how the place keeps their horses healthy and feeds them so their well nourished. Unlike some places that starve their horses and still make them work. Must of been heaps of fun!

Oh man, this is making me nostalgic. I spent 2 weeks in Botswana in 2010, was the most amazing experience. For part of it we were staying in the bush 2 hours boat ride from any civilization, which was incredible. It's such a beautiful country and seeing all the wildlife is breathtaking.
This is making me so nostalgic🥺 I went to South Africa twice. Once when I was only 2 to visit my dad's family and the second time when I was 14 we visited family again but also did a tour through Lesotho, Namibia, Botswana and Victoria Falls (Zambia/Zimbabwe border). Absolutely my favourite vacation ever. I'd love to go back someday💞

Used in US army since 19th century for cavalry till the end of the second world war. Into Africa it got with british army troops, who also used it into some degree. I rode in it once too. Actually pretty comfortable for a long ride.

I laughed at Matt´s reaction, when he said, the saddle is "wider". It really isn´t, but it has solid seating part, with the front and back of it little higher. Makes you feel like you are sitting a little above the horseback rather than on the horseback. Helps to redistribute the horse movement more evenly and makes for better balance and deeper seat. Saddle built for long distance travel and also for battle. Sorry for this, it´s a bit of an interest of mine. I like trying different saddles, even from period era. The one the boys are ridding on looks like a more modern version. The one I rode was 19th century version.
Yes this saddle was produced in Rhodesia in Africa in the 1970s for the Grey Scouts, a mounted infantry army unit. There is a book about their battles " The Equus Men " by Alexandria Binda. Plus there are You Tube videos of The Grey Scouts.
