I believe you don't have to drain all of the oil. When you remove the oil switch, a little bit of oil should spill out. Just put a rag or oil pan to catch the spilled oil.

Yes I do, I am using the stock one. I also added a heat wrap to the starter wires to keep them safe from the heat of the headers.
