That looks so beautiful! I would probably do this sort of thing myself but the thought of disassembling a controller and possibly breaking it terrifies me.

The pink was looking good but then the yellow felt like with the power of air it was pushing the pink Way lol and took over ? 🤣. Would it have been better if you let the pink fully dry then try yellow after.
Have you ever used posca pens on ps5 pad. If yes. Will it smudge or wear off after gaming use. Or do you need a protective coating after drawing a design

That big shining star in the middle of the front was a good call. Brings attention to the center of the controller, where the Playstation logo happens to be. Going bright with the colors also helped with the logo standing out as well. Nicely done!

Its actually really easy to take apart the ps5 gamepad if you start at the end points of the black sections.
Yeah it just takes a bit of practice

Yes you can :) i have done so in the past!
I'm wanting to get a spare dualsense controller and paint it a gold and black style but tearing down any dualshock looks difficult

No it didn’t, though i did go very thin with the paint over that area. And I wouldn’t recommend using a paintbrush if you want to preserve them. They’re very tiny!

tip for making stars on a galaxy themed project like this one, latex glove, spray some paint onto the fingers and just "snap" your fingers over your project, the paint will seem random, smaller and bigger stars everywhere... see a street artist painting with airbrush or graffiti to learn proper techniques, they are amazing.... also you are amazing, i don't think i'd have the courage to tear apart a brand new controller to paint it, might do it with an older one though...
also im curious, can you still feel the ps5 texture on the controller after painting it? those little square circle triangle X patterns on it?
I sometimes do that kind of technique, but sometimes i like to draw them on individually. And as for the texture, it feels a little less because of the clear gloss but i can still definitely see and feel it :) thanks so much! 🙏☺️

You can use a heat gun to separate the track pad from the chip that controls it. I would paint that as well!

@@ScribbleFix Don't be afraid! I do repairs on controllers all the time. These things aren't as delicate as they look. Your controller looks amazing! Just wonder what it would have looked like with the track pad painted as well. Can you send me the link to the air brush you used as well as the types of paint?

2 questions! first, when you play using that controller, does the paint melt into your hand? Does it come off? Also my other question was what type of painting is this, lots of people tell me to use plastidip, but i want something more permanent.
Plastidip is awesome, my partner actually used that to paint his PS5, you can get a clear coating in the sane brand to protect the finish more. but if you just want the colour and not worry about the removability, you can use most kinds of spray paint or acrylic paint, just make sure that it can be used on plastic (some cant) and invest in a good primer!
With acrylic paints i use a Krylon triple thick laquer spray that protects the paint very well. You will have to wait a while before you can touch it again after that (one or two days depending on thickness) but its worth it because its very protective, and will stop the acrylic paint smudging.

Nope! Because i use a clear coat over the top to protect it. If you dont then it probably will come off because of the sweat. I haven’t had any issues yet so i recommend the clear coat, Krylon triple thick clear glaze :)
Im looking to do this soon, just wondering if you sand papered it to get the primer to stick? I dont want to do it just incase it ruins the cool texture on the back of the controller.
I didn’t, because i was scared to ruin the texture haha

Yes it skill has the grip but I believe that’s because i used an airbrush and light coats :)

Hi! I actually did a similar Dualsense job myself. My problem was that the scratches and the paint rubbing off while using the controller. I used Vallejo matte finish on top of the paint. Did something similar happen to your controller over time?
Hi there, im sorry that happened to you! It hasn’t happened to me but it really depends on the type of sealant you use. I used krylon triple thick which goes on very thick and gives it a kind of glassy look. Id recommend something like that or use resin if you want something really protective. i hope you can still save your work
I'm trying to gather some courage and open one of my controllers to make a full White version, i want the upper buttons white as well, and I have no idea how would I paint the thumb Sticks since they're rubber
I would recommend looking up a video on TH-cam on how to take it apart! And instead of painting the thumbsticks I recommend hopping on ebay and buying a pair of replacement ones that are white and swapping them over :) that would be the best thing to do. As long as you do it carefully of course!

Isn't it sticky or something? I painted mine and after couple days it is still sticky :/
Depends what kind of paint you use, sometimes paints can take a while to fully cure
I would do this if I could actually know how to spray paint or disassemble tech :(

This is the best one I’ve seen. I love your videos. You don’t have to but you should check me out I do some customs stuff too. No where near getting a playstation but I did just do a pc with space and I have multiple shoe videos coming and more parts for a custom denim jacket video.

Haha ,you did the Spiderman one too, don't ever tattoo anyone. Your lines are very wobbly ,you should practice on paper first. But it made me laugh ,so keep up the good work.
Drawing on a 3D slippery object with a watery paint pen is completely different to anything else, I suggest you try it sometime 😂 also if you look at my channel i draw on paper a LOT so 🤷♀️
