Trying to show people what legit techwear is… which is a bit of a challenge nowadays 😅
I remember as a teenager my bother and I contatly lamented the extremely limited choices for mens clothing out there, I'm actually so stoked that new cool clothes are now available for guys as well as women.
Best options for men still seems to be “make your own”, but it has slowly gotten better.
Oddly a lot of “anime/game/gatcha style” outfits for jackets and tops that look like they would work fairly well but most of the stuff produced seems to be modern mall-ninja or have an excess of zips/straps/gubbins loosely stitched into the outside.
Personally I’d say women have it better in 1 key aspect. Look at any 5 women wearing a jumper then do the same for 50 men in a jumper, there will be more shape, colour and fabric differences in those 5 womens jumpers than there will be in the 50 worn by men.
Even the expensive clothing for men tends to be made of the exact same mesh weave cotton/polyester/gor-tex as the cheapest discount store rack item. Sure the e buttons or trim may be nicer but it’s likely cloth from the same factory (and the cheap one is probably hardier). Men seem to have put away their taste for different cloth types when things like hand made suits and waistcoats went away.
@@IRMentat honestly it sounds cliché as fuck but I truly think it's due to "toxic masculinity" in the sense that it would have been deemed "fruity" for a big rough and tumble man to care about such things. So we wear Carhartts and flannel jackets because it shows that "grrr we work hard we are men grr" it's so fucking annoying. Don't get me wrong I wear carhartts all the time hahaha they are practical and resilient but man, I'd really like some options. It's funny you suggest make your own because my brother actually became a fashion designer and is quite successful, and myself well I'm nothing more than amateur. I've made a few items but mostly I end up using fabric paint to customize my threads. It's fun. Hope life finds you well, peace.

I like the jackets, the shirts but the one part of this style that I can't do is cargo pants. I don't need the coolest middle age dad pants. Now if I'm traveling I guess having more storage on my body could come in handy.
There's plenty of different versions of cargo pants you'll find something u like

you're missing out. cargo pants are super in right now even if you're not into techwear. And they're not "dad pants" they're military/industrial inspired clothes that are more interesting than typical jeans or chinos. Also you have to find the right kind of cargo pants, not just regular mall cargos.
You can simply wear other things! You don't have to wear cargo pants!

I studied how to make clothes just to make my own badass outfits like these.. The problem is that these obviously have superior materials like waterproof fabric which I don't know where to get.
Just wish there was a central place to get them, lots of cool Asian model photos for cheap dropshipping merch.
And yes uniqlo airism and Lululemon sportswear are also techwear
Thanks for educating me a lot more on this genre of clothing ^^ I really admire a lot of the pieces from acronym and even the more experimental like hamcus, glad to see that women are into this too as I’m sure so many people see this and think of it as a “total dude” thing, I would personally say otherwise lol, but yeah I love what you’re doing here and don’t be afraid to keep expressing yourself ❤ love the content
Also on a side note I didn’t really realize the movement capabilities were always a key factor as some of these pieces can seem very bulky or constricting at times so it’s nice to know that I’d have a full range of motion with the right products and it’s not just for show

Handy info, The general idea seems sound tho it does seem prone to gimmicky stuff.
Speaking of which. NGL I find most “drop-crotch” trouser designs to be laughably bad in form and function (a little extra for comfort makes sense but if your clothes are flapping around at the knees I’m half expecting a physiological issue) or imagine the model was just scooped out of the middle of a dust bowl mid heatwave.
That said, better a larger “seat” section than all the idiots with their waistband around their knees.
