- Everyone's favourite series of techwear retailers to avoid continues. This week we're looking at Techwear Club, who unfortunately sold the worst techwear clothing we've looked at on this channel so far with an overall less-than-great retail experience. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
There are lots of retailers who fall into a similar category of cheap, extremely low-quality drop-shipped clothing. This wasn't meant to be a take-down of Techwear Club specifically, they're just part of a group of 'techwear retailers' who will likely give you a similar experience to mine in this video.

Reminds me of when Bethesda did the pre order bonus or what ever it was with Fallout 76 and they showed a picture of a sturdy canvas bag that it would come with, but instead they shipped out cheap ass nylon bags.
I never heard what happened, wasn't there like a lawsuit?

@@shadowsnake5133 Yes and Bethesda eventually sent out the ones promised made of canvass, replacing the nylon ones that customers had already received. Still, it shouldn't take a lawsuit, Bethesda has been quite garbage for a while now, they no longer put any real effort in their games and couldn't care less about their consumers, only about their money.
And the power armour helmets were toxic as well
@@PilotTed Lets not forget that the website to make a request for a Canvas bag was unsecure and anyone who made a request got doxxed.
One thing I have noticed with a lot of knock-off techwear clothing, mainly in pants is that they used “hype” shoes like yeezy or Jordans for some reason. And they have the “Teachwear” overuse in the name, but I can’t lie I fell into their trap when I first was introduced.🤦♂️

Finally someone did some reviewing, I love this style but as a plus size guy I get caught out so many times trying to find even just the subtle pairs of cargo pants

Look for brands who are in your country and gave them your money and not china.
I’ve got two jackets that suit 4 seasons. A slim Patagonia puffer ($250 ish) and an Arc’teryx gore tex shell ($300 ish) that sounds expensive but I’ve had both for about five years and they’re as good as they were when I got them. Shell can be worn year round as a rain jacket. Patagonia suits to a fairly chilly temp. But since she shell is also windproof, all I have to do is wear it over the puffer and it suits down to about -20C or lower (and no, as most of the world, I don’t do imperial. If you don’t do metric, google a converter. Basically it’s pretty fucking cold)
I also spent $100 on my mittens about five years ago. They’re also gore tex and are incredibly warm and windproof, waterproof, come with liners for warmer weather, and boom. Don’t need 500 pair of sub standard gloves.
This is how you shop. I’d never go back to cheap fast fashion. It costs so much more over time.
Oh and these filthy Amazon crooks have now infiltrated Etsy too. And are charging Etsy prices for the same shit that some criminal sewing house is selling for $10 on Amazon, so make sure to cross reference.

Thanks for this video. I've already bought from them (twice). First time didn't have any problems, second time disappointed a lot. The waterproof jacket wasn't waterproof for example. So yeah. Gonna subscribe to learn a bit more to make better decisions in the future ^^

I wish I saw this video before purchasing something from them. The upside is the item they sent me was so ridiculously made that it’s worth keeping just for the laugh 😅. It also lead me to your channel. Keep up the great work!
Anytime I see recommendations to up your size or delivery times that are weeks long I know one thing for sure..Chiina and I'm avoiding it hard.
What I hate most about this is 1) that it has created a whole industry centered around convincing people dropshipping is a legitimate business model that they should pursue to make a quick buck and 2) the immense amount of waste created by these business practices. Like, fast fashion is comparatively benign, at least with fast fashion the clothes are still usable and will often go to charity shops. But clothes like these just have no value, there is no demand for them except the demand that is artificially created. I'd prefer straightforward scams where no product is delivered at all so at least the environment isn't harmed in the process

I was considering buying something like the cool cloaks and robes which are pretty expensive. Decided to go check their legitimacy. Glad to encounter this video and not get scammed / a disappointment of a cloak

I brought pants that we're "gear wear" which is supose to be better than sport clothes, instead is trash, the letter falls off, and in middle of skatebaording, my pants split, was embrashing.
I'm so thankful I watched that video before buying.
I bought a couple rings from there prior to hearing people say its a scam. Im just gonna hope that i get lucky and they are in good condition. This has also taught me not to just by from random websites w/o researching them first.

I am curious about the brand Fabric of the Universe. They're an LA based company that SEEMS to have higher standards, and judging by their prices, quality (I would hope). But now I've seen this, I really gotta know.
Thing is, I fell for these ads before I watched your vids. Wound up with some of those thing wrinkly cheap pants rhat were basically costume material, and I was so convinced they wouldn't suck that I bought like five pairs and...
So I have been trying to find a better shop for this kinda stuff, and fabric of the universe seems to perhaps be just that, BUT! I'm so worried I'd wind up paying like 50 to 100 dollars on an item just to have it turn out to be the same cheap quality with gibberish printed on it

Tbh is just sad that the shirt isn't what they actually sell, I would actually like a shirt like that in the photo. Shame how some companies cute corners to take the most of your money.

Man I literally just bought from Techwear and MLO. I got the MLO shoes and the quality of the shoes was horrible and felt uncomfortable standing in them so I immediately returned them. I felt the Techwear was weird when I noticed the weird size charts, wish I watched this video before wasting my time.
Not really tech wear but railriders are the best outdoor pants I have used. I survived giant hornet stings!

I see false advertisement you pay for something they are showing they claim they are selling and yet get trash bags for dress wear. As I say don't sell what you are not willing to deliver.

I bought from this website a while ago, I got 2 pants and 1 pair of shorts. The clothes I was looking at already had reviews on it which was good, but I had my doubts still. What if they were fake reviews? (they did have photos of people wearing it at least). What if the customer said it was good but for my own standards its not good? I love Techwear so I had to take the risk.. or I could've done more research on my part. The website did look nice but I know websites make it look clean to seem trustworthy.
When I got my order, it was all in one mailer bag, but each one was still in their own individual plastic packaging. 2 of them had the same plastic packaging which was actually a good presentable packaging that made it seem more professional. The other one.. was just in a plain clear plastic. Which isn't necessarily bad but it was weird considering I thought it was all from one "company". Anyways, 1 pair of pants, and the shorts were both a tiny bit different but was still comfortable for me and still looked really nice so it still worked out. They had a hardly noticeable word on the side zipper pockets which I don't really like especially since its what I thought was the "brand name" that I don't even know about or what it means lol.
The 2nd pair of pants, again a random word on it that I don't even know what it means. I tried these on last and... let's just say I could only take little steps. I tried squatting, it felt like it was gonna rip. I thought of returning it but their policy says they don't accept returns on worn items. How am I supposed to make sure they're a right fit for me >:0
But yeah that was my experience, I think I got lucky and didn't totally waste my money? But I would rather support a legitimate business and brand :\

i actually own the cargoes in that stock image they all use. i bought them for £25 off aliexpress many years ago as a young wannabe ninja, i will say they fit okay, and the material is decently thick, but they are NOT waterproof or resistant in anyway. at least they looked okay for the instagram picture.

Be aware that you have to pay return shipping if you want to refund stuff, which can be quite expensive to China

I’ve ordered from tech wear before and I VERY strongly advise u not to purchase from there especially their clothing its straight up garbage however I will say their accessories are not too bad things like chains or hats

I ordered a jacket from on of these similar websites, I spent over 240 Euros on a reindee lusion jacket

This is the first I've heard of techwear. Have never seen an ad or video about it. Either my cookie and info management is still on point or I'm officially a boomer. After seeing this video, I'm happy with either as long as I remain isolated from that trash.
