Now with 50amp shore power you have two 50amp hots. With the Onan 5500 you have one 30amp hot and one 20amp hot. How did you decipher which hot line went to what for the generator? Obviously not both 15amp Air conditioners on the same incoming hot.

Sounds very interesting, I have a 1995 RV Winnebago, it runs sweet.
It came with an existing generator, but I added an additional generator, a Cummins 4k to run additional appliances. I the main power from the generator to the inside of the coach.
Plus from that junction box leading from the generator I run a shore line into it's own boxed location. From location is another junction box the houses the shore line cord to the inside of the coach (RV).
I have all the wires ran to it's appointed outlets from its breakers.
Now the only issue is powering the PD4100, It comes with a built-in converter.... I would like to be able to use the shore line plug when needed. In addition If and nowhere near a power source and need to use that particular generator, what is the best way to wire the PD4100 With both power supplies.
Keep in mind everything else is hooked up but I don't want to power that unit wrong to where you explained could possibly blow out that generator. I have a 30amp breaker ready to hook up one or the other but I need both supplies.
    Could really use your help...
    Thank you. Stay blessed.

The number of prongs does not determine the amperage; the size of the wire does.

you don't have to change the carburetor. there is a device that switches from gasoline to propane or natural gas, that connects into the fuel line.

I purchased the automatic transfer switch, the brand or model isn’t important because it’s pretty simple technology. The key is 30 or 50 amp

we are replacing our onboard generator. We were not there when repair tech removed old one. We are installing new one ourselves. We see green wires, black wires, white wires, and then one with a yellow stripe. I'm assuming you just match up the colors with the ones on the coach outlet where we plug in to the generator but what is the one with the yellow stripe for?

Does your generator have two breakers? If so one black would be to one circuit and the one with yellow stripe would be the other circuit hot wires

      You need to consult your manufacture! Green=ground / white=common/ black=hot 30amp red=hot 50 amp

This is NOT a "how to" video. This is a "what I did but not showing you" video... and thus sucks.
