Kinda ironic how Sukuna chats to Megumi about how weak minded Yuji is however now Megumi is the one crying on the floor while Yuji is going face to face with Sukuna. Maybe Yuji was able to contain Sukuna not because of any special properties about his body but instead his unbreakable will, where even while he’s down like the Mahito fight he’ll always immediately get right back up again. Personally I think Yuji is gonna surpass Sukuna and maybe inspire Megumi too over come Sukuna just like he did.
Unless I missed it, I’m suprised you didn’t mention something that I’ve heard more than a handful of times: “yuji is the perfect prison, while megumi is the perfect vessel”. As sukuna was clearly plotting to take possession of megumi since very early in the series, I personally interpret it as a sort of impatience/anticipation to transfer, being stuck in yuji. And as you mentioned, sukuna probably disliked yuji for taking the moral high ground, making a lot of tasks a lot more difficult than they needed to be
Kinda feels like sukunas own personal prison realm. And prison realm also used to be somebody. A regular person. Just like Sukuna Just like Tengen They all used to be people and then they evolved
Personally I’d say Yuta from volume 0 was a far better vessel than Megumi in every aspect. Why would you think Megumi is the perfect vessel? Also Kenjaku though of it as impossible for him to control Toji so Maki and Toji might be better prisons than Yuji.
I think it’s because Yuji unbreakable ideals are so alien to sukuna and being forced to realize that having strong ideals to push can allow someone to grow as much as living to fulfill your desires as selfishly as possible is something that Sukuna hates about Yuji. Yuji is living contradiction to everything he stands for and as much as he dislikes it I believe he wants to see if someone like that can grow to become strongest it’s just too interesting for him to cut down . I think this also plays in the great narrative about love with the strongest being unable to attain it but Yuji can as well also not it allowing it stunt his growth but allowing it makes him blossom into something even greater. I say all of this to say Yuji will be the one to teach sukuna love not literally but metaphorically.
If I was stuck inside Yuji, I would want to get out too. And he’s trying to eat all my fingers, treating it like a side quest at that. Sukuna killing everyone just makes sense at this point, everyone has been trying to kill him since day 1.

Sukuna is a lil ✨tsundere ✨
Sukuna just hated that Yuji is so pure hearted and he couldn't take over his body

"Mahito is the perfect foil to Yuji", nah, that spot is for Sukuna
Nah yuji and mahito work as better foils since yuji and sukuna are more so parallels than foils
I think the reason is because Yuji symbolize the Buddha and Sukuna symbolize The demon king of the six heavens
If I was stuck inside Yuji, I would want to get out too. And he’s trying to eat all my fingers, treating it like a side quest at that. Sukuna killing everyone just makes sense at this point, everyone has been trying to kill him since day 1.
the one time sukuna truly complimented(technically) yuji after he lost to choso still urks me
My question to you is, if someone was made just to imprison or bind you would you like the person
Maybe. I think Angel would much rather have Yuji as her vessel as apposed to Hana.
he is simply a bum, sir!
Do you think sukuna would let the larsonian genocide happen?
He'd cause it.
No Sukuna kills everyone equally.
Edit: Unless your name is Yuji.
