Hi! I'm Magali, a 26 year old blogger + vlogger based in Mumbai, India.
I create beauty, fashion & lifestyle videos as well as travel vlogs from around India & the world. New videos go live every Monday (& sometimes Thursday too) at 7PM IST.

A couple of years ago, I went back to my maternal ancestral home in a village in South Goa. I already shared two vlogs from that trip. Though I've probably made 70+ travel vlogs, those are two of my absolute favorites. This Jan, I went back there for just under a week, & I'll be sharing the trip in a series of vlogs.
The third vlog from the series has us going to Margao to buy traditional Goan pork sausages (choris) & a lot of fresh fish, as well as fruits & vegetables. We got back, cooked up a great lunch & then went up to the village church (seen in the previous vlog) for chai & snacks, to meet some family etc.

Nice Magali when I went first time in Goa I stayed at hotel Panchsheel in Margao market. very nice market area old houses and next day I visited Loutolim village it's may be 10 km from Margao. I seen the bungalow where shoot Movie Singham thanks for remembering that..

Hey Rodrigues, nope I'm a Bomoicar, only visited Goa throughout my life, especially during summer vacations but never actually stayed there. He's not my gym master, he's my dad's first cousin. 😄 My mom has family in Vanxem too, my grandfather grew up there.

That's our other family home & it's not been rented out ever, only family stays there.

I definitely would like to see you changing your title..... Place that you visited in this video is definitely not rural.... Margao is a City, 100% urban area.
I see your point, but rural in the title refers to the home / village seen through most of the video, also refers more to the series than this video itself. 😃
I'll add a clarification in the description.
Since Goa is very small, it is normal for someone living in rural Goa to visit cities such as Margao to buy spices, fish, vegetables etc. Infact it is somewhat like a weekly routine(especially on sundays for fresh fish).

Elmarie are you on Facebook? We are part of this lovely big group which is all about home cooking. Many people share recipes there & it's a very helpful atmosphere. Let me know I can share the details with you.
I asked my mom for the recipe followed here:
Clean the squids & boil for around 5 mins.
Slice them in circular style.
Chop + fry some onions, chilly (to taste) & salt. You can add some haldi or spice powder if desired.
Add squids. Fry for 3-5 mins on high flame & serve. 🦑

I think the inquisition was pretty evil & I do speak about it (against it) quite often in my life, to the extended family etc. However my channel doesn't include content about religion or politics, that's just not what I want to share. I won't be 'elaborating' on this issue here as I'm not the right person to do so but feel free to google & read books on the inquisition if you have an interest in the same.
