Very helpful video. I was able to just tuck the black box up and out of the way without unplugging the three harnesses. Getting the blower motor/fan assembly past the black box mount prongs was a real pain; I had to deflect the prong closest to the blower back (down and toward the driver seat) to get the motor housing past it. Before you start this job: Make sure you have a 13mm deep socket to get the brake/gas pedal assembly off. Ask me how I know... Tip: when putting the new motor/fan in, remember that the plug on the motor is generally facing up (i.e. about 12 o'clock position) This helps you get the orientation of the motor mostly correct, then spin it left and right a few inches to make sure you're seating the motor assembly correctly. It's only a about a 3/4" turn to "lock" the motor into position. Then reach up and make sure the small tab with the screw is aligned with the nub behind it where the screw anchors.
thank you for your help. even though I have been a auto mechanic for 30 years, sometimes I forget to where parts are located like this blower motor. its very similar job for nissan rogue too.
Screw it I'm just riding with the window down in the summertime everybody I talk to wants hundreds of dollars to fix this I don't have the tools to do it and I did get under there one day trying to figure it out it's just too much I had just about have to take the gas pedal out so screw it just lots of ice water cold rag and the windows down
@@melissafritts8648 it’s very tough I must say. I only got it changed by God’s grace. With some praying you can get it done but yea I did have a socket set and had to keep rewinding videos and I’m telling you PRAY! Sorry you have to go through this. I changed it on my wife’s car and it was by far the hardest thing I’ve did on a vehicle. Took me prob 2-3 days
I used a flat head screw driver on the long sides to help them along. I got them off, but even harder was getting the one plug out of the blower motor. I couldn't get it out.

I cant seem to get the 3 wire plugs off the box. Can you tell me how to unclip them or pull them off, please?
I used a flat head screw driver on the long sides to help them along. I got them off, but even harder was getting the one plug out of the blower motor. I couldn't get it out.
Good video...thanks
What size extension did you use to remove the brake and gas pedals?
13
How much does it cost to have done?
Did you unplug the blower motor before you brought it down or after you brought it down?
i unplugged it before i brought it down this is a pretty tight job though
I could not get the plug out of the blower motor. Its in such a difficult spot I couldn't get a screw driver in there. Anyone have any suggestions?
