Can I use a normal glue gun with these filler sticks?

Hi Philip. Sorry for the late response from our side. Yes, it is possible to use your own heating gun as long as it takes Diameter 12mm sticks. However, temperature is key in order to get perfect repairs, so if you want a perfect result you need a heating gun that runs 170 degrees temperature. Our BCD180 is pre-installed for 170 degrees and the BCD360 has an adjustable thermostat. Find info here: www.woodrepair.com

Once finished with, and the tool has cooled. Do you leave the stick in the gun until the next use or do you need to squeeze it into the mould every time before storing it

Will this work for a board that is already on the wall that has a knothole that goes all the way through the board?

When Knot Filler cools of and hardens it bonds/ adheres to the fibres in the wood and won't fall out.
