    I'm in my sixth month as a window cleaner and decided to put the time into mastering the liquidator method. It was a learning curve but I agree was totally worth the time. Plus I learned techniques that help me when I use other squeegees. Still learning as I'm a bit hard on my rubber corners.

    Nice and informative video!
    The tip of applying detergent directly to the applicator, really made a diffence for me, much less clean up in the bottom frame, much better glide cause it sticks to the glass and not just running down with the water!
    Very nice tip! THX

    Fine advice as always. I like to use a spray bottle on a belt, with the tinniest drop of ettore Window cleaning liquid in it & then just spray directly onto mop. The liquidator has to be best invention for the window cleaner since the wfp system.

    Literally the easiest tool to use if you just add soap to the washer and use precision rather than speed, which in turn makes you faster due to lack of detailing. When I first used it the rubber was grabbing all over the place and was impossible to use. turned out there was a load of crap on the new rubber from manufacturing so i gave it a good scrub and that fixed that! Gonna have a go with some Ettore rubber and see how that compares to the Moerman stuff

    Yepp serious qustion. I have the 18” Moerman channel. Soft rubber and I’m having streaking trouble. Should i get hard rubber? Should i cut the channel down to a 14”? I’m in Montana. It’s hot

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the longer liquidator channels perform better with soft rubber, problem is soft rubber is sticky in heat. Personally I cut my 18 down to 16inch and it works much better.
      The bigger the channel the more pressure is lost at the tips, which for the liquidator is an issue due to the fact you need pressure at the tips to achieve zero detailing. As soon as you get to 18 inch or the 22, it can get more tricky to get good results.
      Go for a 16 inch channel and let me know how you get on then buddy.

    You say the Ettore rubber works better after 2 days ? I thought the rubber should be changed every couple days if it’s being used all day ?

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends how rough you are with it. I get at least a week per side if not more, but I work precisely many don't and burn through rubber fast

    I’ve got a squeegee problem. I should point out I’m not a professional window cleaner, just an enthusiast. The only windows I clean are my own. I’ve been using the Unger Ergotec for years. Works great for me, but I’m not a fan of detailing, so I gave the Moerman Liquidator a try. First thing I noticed was that it is truly a no detailing squeegee, even in the hands of a layman like me. However, compared to the Unger, it doesn’t glide as well. When I’m fanning down a window, and part of the rubber comes across a section of the glass that already has been squeegeed, it immediately starts stuttering (for lack of a better word), and you feel a lot of friction. With the Unger this was never an issue. And I’m even using more washing up liquid with the Moerman than with the Unger. What am I doing wrong here? Does the Moerman require a different technique? Or is it just the difference in rubber in which case putting an Unger soft rubber in the Liquidator would perhaps solve my problem.

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah try not to go back over dry glass. Because the moerman has the blue end clips that put more pressure on the rubber, it creates more friction. Hence the need to put soap on the applicator. It sounds like just a technique issue my friend. When fanning the window down try to get the pane squeegeed in as few moves as possible and not going over too much dry glass. There is skill to it, keep practicing 😁😉

      Using an applicator or sponge, wet it in a bucket of clean water, then apply dish washing soap directly to the applicator or sponge, rub that all over the glass, then use the squeegee, it will glide much better

    Hi, I've got a squeegee problem. I always used a 14" squeegee on my house, but I've got some pretty big windows, so I wanted to try an 18". But when I apply the same amount of pressure to the 18 as I always do to the 14, I get lines. Only if I increase the pressure, the lines go away. Are you supposed to use more pressure on longer squeegees?

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you do have to apply more pressure with longer channels. Although you shouldn't be getting lines unless there's an issue with the rubber.
      What rubber is in the channel and is it the rubber that came with the channel?
