Nice video guys, could you please upload a video of a Curt Hitch install on a 2017 GLC 300, I think it was previously here but now its been removed, Please put it back.
Why wouldn’t you run the 12v wire through the internal of the car rather than under it where it’s be exposed to weathering ? Could you run it internally instead ?
@@craignicholls5152 I ran a duo view dash cam. the finishing in glc is pretty tight. I would avoid to remove the headliner at all cost. But as I mentioned before, I connected everything from the fuse box/ battery inside the trunk, no need to connect from the front of the vehicle. It has been used for about 3 years, everything is working as expected.
It's known as a modulite or tail light converter. If you want to check out more information you can click the link below. www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Tekonsha/119147KIT.html
On the passenger side it looked like you spliced the green wire to a green & yellow wire but you called it green “with red-ish stripe”?
well made video and great explanation.

fuse box is right in the trunk, under that carpet. You really don't need to run that power line to the front.

Does anyone know if this would work on a 2019? And if the color of the wires are the same?
Yes this is also designed to fit the 2019 model and the installation should be the same.
