    What a luxury to have Svidler explain these games for free

    Good Lord, what a beautiful thumping. When Kramnik is on form, he doesn't just win - he creates art.

      Karpov Liam during key moments kramnik played first choice computrr moves which impressed a lot of ppl. He desrves credit from that perspective.

      To create a brilliancy you need a little help from your opponent.

      When Peter plays 1. e4 he quietly thinks to himself "I will hunt you down!"

    Love that he says at 13:45 "this is not a bad move...."...(looks at the computer evaluation) then without missing a beat says "it's probably not a great move...". Nice save Peter, hahaha!

    Amazing analysis! So many hidden points, that other commentators miss. I love how Peter refers to Vladimir's press conference, so interesting to know the players thoughts over the board. 👍

    Great analysis! They say "castling early is always a good idea" but... not always! And Peter explains exactly why. At the same time it's hard to conceive that Lev fell into such a simple positional mistake.

    I've now seen 4 different analyses of this game, and this is by far the best. Peter includes improved lines for white that no-one else seems to have mentioned and also other outrageous possibilities for black. Very well played game by Kramnik

    Thank you very much GM Peter Svidler, for a strong analyze. Finally you were mentioning luck. Kramnik was lucky that Aronian played right into his preparation. Most of the games I win myself are exactly the same luck. My opponent walks into an opening I do better than the other openings. Chess is a lot about luck, and luck management. The skills is to detect the luck, take advantage, and punish them for walking your lucky way. Of course you need to play very good to pump your luck up to victory, and Kramnik is fantastic, have been World Champion, and may repeat that. Initially you told us what is Aronians most successful opening. The d4 opening where he collects most luck. To leave that lucky path in such an important tournament is taking some risk that isn't necessary. The moral is: "Don´t leave your luck behind when playing the Candidates!"

    My impression from the press conference is that Lev let himself go after 14...Qe7. He gambled into unknown ground and stepped right onto a mine.

    Excellent analysis, especially the point about postponing h2-h3...which occurred to me too. So why then did Kramnik comment that h3 was the only sensible move? (It was reported that is what he said after the game). I think it was all downhill after h3.

      Marc James Levesque
      Aronian made so many mistakes in the game
      1.e4,no experience with the op.
      2.BXNc6 was so bad,allowing queen free play,hence feel like white is playing to defensive
      3.h3 was disgustingly bad,Nbd2 is better
      4. C3 is too slow but at this point,u feel like you're going downhill
      The Queen Hunter aronian lost so bad

    Fantastic as allways. i miss You and Ivanchuk from this tournament. Your chess style would be ideal against Carlsen in a match. I think this tournament will be race between Kramnik and Mamediarov. Grischuk plays very fine chess but too slow, i think Grischuk should play quicker and than could have a good chance. Best to Svidler and thx for the excellent analysis . Note, instead c2-c3 ii also considered g2-g4 but your recommendation is better. Greetings from Budapest. I hope you will comment further on as then its already real chess treasury. I wonder why nobody play the Evans Gambit i think it is fully correct.

    Kramnik didn't just win. Kramnik CRUSHED Aronian, just like Bobby Fischer crushed the Soviets.
    The classic heritage of chess gained another game today.

  • @tommonk7651
    @tommonk7651 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Peter or anyone, why would Aronian play right into Kramnik's wheelhouse? I mean, the Berlin? Jeez.... What was he hoping to accomplish?

  • @diaryofadepressive5104
    @diaryofadepressive5104 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Peter was pretty merciless towards Levon's decisions all throughout this video.
    As much as I love Svidler, he managed to remove all magic from this game for me and make it seem like just a series of blunders by white.
