What a like from this guy is he uses different combo routes if wants a setup for denjin charge, for more corner carry, for efficient use of drive gauge or just for more optimal damage, a character specialist through and through.
It is more like spam gauge instead of drive gauge lol

Absolutely ridiculous. What an incredible display of skill. His gameplay is an advanced chess match, and he's two steps ahead of his opponent in every choice he makes. Every combo is optimal. Conversions are flawless. Ample route exploration. Godly reaction times. Impeccable execution. This man isn't a Master, he's a Warlord. It's very hard to be that sharp in the heat of battle. Too many moving pieces, but he pulls it off. Impressive. 👍🏻

@@Roninvz6not at all! The combos are not that hard, the most difficult part about all of this is deciding WHEN to use and how to approach each combo (not even mentioning memorizing each route lol).

This is Insane Gameplay with Ryu!! No need to mention his conversions; it speaks for itself. It's almost like the person is on auto-pilot when certain things happen. For example, shoryuken, he rarely misses. Comes out at will. I think having the ability to utilize Shoryuken willingly plays a vital role if you are playing with Ryu. Combos are just perfect every time. Such control over every little thing. For example, Baits, oh my God controller's Baits are just perfectly timed.

He’s a PC player. So probably using “hitbox” that’s likely the reason why his specials and supers come out so easy

@@lostsoul7980 You also need to relearn how to play when you take up a hitbox, so is not exactly unfair.

@@watafulgames There's a difference between parries (which is just holding the button down and you see the blue light you talk about) and perfect parries, which you need to input for every hit, and the game slows down for each block. Think you have seen that once or twice.
@@watafulgames Paladin did the normal parry, not perfect parry. Jimmy has a video where he replicates the Daigo parry with perfect parries, and it's actually insane. Much more difficult to do now than it ever was in the entire history of the SF franchise.

At 3:32 Jamie flashes blue to parry, and Ryu flashes at the exact same time to drive rush. I've heard that the parry freeze often gives players a medium kick instead of their intended parry. If Paladin did this intentionally, that is some next level strategy.

@@floridaman7206 you can hold parry while in the animation of other moves and buffer dash near the end of the animation to get immediate drive rush afterwards

In fact, this is the absolute closest to how I imagine Ryu would actually fight in other media, like films or TV shows.
And the match afterwards at 1:50 he starts with a flurry of hadoukens, then baits the last "hadouken" with a hashogeki when he knows the Zangief will jump in order to recover in time for an anti-air

These rounds are too cherry picked... Sure this Ryu player has insane combo and burst potential and is not afraid to blow all 6 bars within 5 seconds of the round starting, but I think we would learn a lot more from watching full matches, so we don't just see the "combo video montage", but also the reads, adaptations, and neutral game.

you forgot the fact that the shin shoryuken you're mentioning about is the Critical Art version which can be used IF the person is on 25% health or lower
