Military vet/full time 911 EMT with a law enforcement background here- good review and congrats on your NREMT, it takes work to study and certify. Not a huge fan of the plastic holster (although the angle adjustment is an excellent feature and has been used on several of my gun belt). I never leave for work without Raptor shears and a Leatherman Rebar for general purpose/admin use.
I freaking love my raptors.... to anyone that says there over priced......I used to think to as well...... until I really started carrying and using them.... they have gotten me out of a couple bad situations... one being the old place i used to work my boss her son put 2 cheap ish rings on her finger and long story she became very allergic to whatever they were made of and her hand swole up bad!!!and the raptors came in and I cut her rings off and saved her a trip to the e.r!!! There really amazing for lots of diff things
Not to mention their TWENTY FIVE year warranty. I had a problem with my free p4, sent it in, they completely replaced it free no questions asked. Theyve got the best warranty compared to any competitor
Good video.. Can I ask others to answer my question. Would these Raptors work for my belt for when I go bird hunting. Has any hunters used these to dress grouse ?
Thank you for sharing, I'm planning to get one, however I read Amazon's review and most of the issues was it easily gets rusty, don't know if it's only cause of not cleaning it well after use or neglect. Thank you in advance for those who can provide a feedback on this before I get one.
They're a carbon steel tool, they'll rust - especially if you sweat on them. To counter that, treat them like you would your carry gun, and just periodically clean and oil them. They'll stay good forever with some basic care. :)
Yes, it does come with a holster and the holster allows it to be holstered in both the open and closed configuration. I personally do not use the holster in neither my urban edc carry nor as an EMT. It fits well in my pockets good enough.
I’m a loss mitigation technician that covers all of north central Washington. I carry these every day and have used these during loss mitigation, which has nothing to do with the “porpoise” you speak of. Not to mention….anyone who travels should always have a glass breaker and seatbelt cutter available for their own need, or that of another traveler. As stated above, I travel every day for work, and have seen some pretty hairy wrecks in my time. It’s always good to be prepared to help. Thanks for this review and the personal time put into making it!

Hell yeah! Thanks for sharing that awesome story! Such a useful pair of shears!

The absolute perfect combo for me personally is the raptor rescue and signal
Definitely a great combo!
The o2 key wrench can be a life saver when you can't find one in truck

How has it been with your EMT career? Potential useful functions or things that could be made better

Awesome review mate.
Thank you!
So have these been handy with your EMT career? Looking to acquire some myself🤓
Yes, very handy!
quick question, can you holster it folded?
yes
Yes, it does come with a holster and the holster allows it to be holstered in both the open and closed configuration. I personally do not use the holster in neither my urban edc carry nor as an EMT. It fits well in my pockets good enough.
I think the ring cutter is one of the least appreciated tools!
The case is nice 👍 too.
Useless for edc! This is a specific tool with a porpoise!
It's not useless lol. You clearly didn't watch the video.
