Original stacatto attempts are lowkey more difficult than the Eb7 Also, please don't take the notes showcase too seriously. Many of them are sharp or polyphonic, so I only labeled the one I heard most clearly!
mariah has stated that sometimes, when her actual singing is strong, her whistle is weaker, but when her whistle is strong her actual singing weakens, that should explain daydreams vocal prowess but weak whistle delivery
EXACTLY. There were times later, in the 2000s that she was well rested and in a good place, that both her whistles and her chest voice were good. But we didn't get a lot of examples, because she wasn't confident enough to show us
@@VMariah A little is an understatement, she was literally off-key almost every attempt, for example in undubbed Tokyo Dome 1996 night she hit: 1 whistle - F#6 instead of F6 2 whistle showed here - precise, but cracky 3 whistle - B6 instead of Bb6 Final whistles are unknown And she was pitchy during other known dates of the Daydream Tour as well, so...yeah. Still last live attempts of all whistles in that song anyway, so in comparison Daydream still outsold

Music box whistles were such so sharp, clean, crisp, and controlled. I almost feel like she worked on them in vocal lessons 😭
the fact that she could do these live now too and the outro proves it 😭💔
THE DAYDREAM SHADE 😭
The outro out did the rest 😍 2024 is obviously her real first prime
Fishy showing us how it’s done
2:35 Oh honey this is perth
OOPS-
secretly sydney night 3😍

No she said when her nodules are bigger the whistles are stronger when there softer the belting is stronger
@@Bambam12340Right, she never said “when my actual singing is strong, my whistle is weaker”.
It’s insane how even the DODGED ones were simply still somehow godly it fit so perfectly with the song
Love Arsenio, NYC 93 and Perth 98
Me too! Her precision on those dates were extra amazing
@@VMariah right especially the D7s 🥵🥵
Even though some of them weren’t perfect I am NOT even gonna TRY to hit a whistle note her 💀👌
butterfly era whistle 😮❤
If we're talking about the run specifically, then both Rainbow and 2022 attempted it!
2:13 I like that the question marks follow the beat
I love how you were able to compliment AND shade her simultaneously 🤣😅
The way Music Box & Butterfly did the Eb7/D7 but the era in between didn't-🥰🔪
Music box nd butterfly are my favorite " insaaah" whistles
love how u made the glitter note ur intro 😭 slay
also girl ur working overtime fr. u need to take a break!!
thanks😭I just wanted to get this out for the 1k milestone, but I'm taking a short break now
@@VMariahohh i ain’t noticed
congrats for 1k 🥳
@@whoevr thank you!🎉
music box and butterfly slayed daydream's pitch😍😍
1:41 the best one for this era
The comments fighting about Daydream being pitchy💀💀💀Also congrats on 1k!
Thank you!!
When you mislabelled Perth as Sydney N2😭
1:40 "I take that back...' 😭
Love all💞
The Daydream ones were great tho
But butterfly outdid
I love them but they’re just all a little pitchy🫢

wait wasn't that the third night?😭 I think there are only three nights of Tokyo 96
for 2:08 I'm not sure tbh. Possibly but the last note in the run sounds a tiny bit different from the 1996 one
@@VMariah idk 😭 i think there were but i just didn’t know the undubbed version leaked lol
@@whoevr oh ok well I used the dubbed😬
@@whoevr wait sorry I just realized you were talking about 1998 3rd night😭 that was a typo carried over from 96💀
Actually Paris is the best daydream one
0:38 you should have used my first verse attempt😞
DISQUALIFIED! Still love your second attempt tho
She didn't do them on rainbow tour?
in Rainbow tour she shortened Emotions to only include the first whistle!
@@VMariah ugh
paris did in fact do the G6, but on the first whistle
Wait Tokyo 1998 was recorded on the 3rd night?
I think so? Was it not😭
@@VMariah Jan 20 was the 4th night I think
@@outsideskippy1997 OH I misread and thought you were talking about 96. I just copied that title for 98 and probably forgot to change the number💀😭
@@VMariah lol I was so confused
Not insahhhh 😂
The australian whistles seem extremely weak and tiny…
I think it’s mostly the capture of the mic. Many of the others had added reverb or were recorded from the stadium
@@VMariahmost likely the engineer mixing poorly
