I don’t see anyone talking about my boy Ernest/Miles, so I’m here to say that he’s my fav character out of this game, and his final cutscenes are ones I didn’t see coming. Truly a mystery done well :)
I feel really bad for Ernest/Miles, loosing his very sick mother who led him to keep seeking worthless revenge so that he would grow up and become who she believed he could be. Only to find himself hurt to find out that she lied and hurt everyone around him. 😥
I dont care if its not the same as prof layton i loved this game so much it was sweet but interesting, lighthearted but still made you get attached to the characters. I very rarely love the whole main cast but this time i really do.❤
You are so real for this Like someone else in another video's comment section said, it's not "bad" per se, so much as it's just different. Then again, Mystery Journey is also my first Layton game, so there's also that little bit of bias.
I feel like the next games are going to have several other characters that are somehow connected with Luke and other main characters and they're going to make some big revelation of some kind. Of course, I could be wrong but this is just my speculation.
This In a way I somehow feel like it's Claire , but I doubt it I don't think Layton would be in a relationship with anyone else, man's been through a lot
If you want to know more of Layton and Katrielle's backstory, then I would recommend you guys to look up episode 10,20,34,35,49 and 50 of the Laytons mystery journey anime. There you will also see who the mother of Katrielle is but I'm not gonna spoil it, so go watch it instead.

They made an anime but only a few episodes explain what happened to layton. It's episodes 10, 20, 35, 49, and 50. You can just search on youtube "lady layton anime episode ##" and what comes up has it subbed. It will explain it;)

So he let go of the land for his 7 friends so they could claim the diamonds and use them for the good of London. But the Dragons wanted to return the diamonds to Richmond before him and his family lost everything they had. But he didn't want his friends' help, and told them to keep the diamonds, until he died! 🥲
