    For tubes you can use cellophane instead of parchment. It is the transparent gift wrapping stuff that has a silver sheen to it when rolled up. Around 3-4 layers of it inside the tube will result in a bright even glow like jedi lightsabers, even brighter if you add an end cap with something reflecting like tin foil ;)

    Yeah ! Great tutorial Gunnar. And there are also "bubble plexi rod", with small air bubbles in the plexi rod which creates interesting effects too.

    GREAT VIDEO. How did you attach the Plexi Rod to the flashlight as it looks like it is a solid material and not hollow like the T12? Love the look of the Plexi Rod but would need that info. Thanks a bunch.

    Where can I find these conectors?

    • @gunnarheilmann7135

      Super easy: lightpaintingbrushes.com/
      You find lots of stuff there. There are two major shopes depending on where you are located. If you are in europe you can also look at lightpaintingparadise.com/ different tools.

    One more question on Plexi Rod, what thickness and length do you recommend?

    • @gunnarheilmann7135
      @gunnarheilmann7135  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anything goes. The thinkness depends on what you want to use it with. My decision was depended on the price actually. After that i decided on the flashlight i going to use. So i chose a 25mm diameter and then chose a flashlight with a very narrow beam. I hope thats helpful. please share the results with me ;-) curios what you come up with.

    Wie lang ist denn die Plexigalsröhre und welchen Durchmesser hat sie?
    Vielen Dank für die guten Tipps!

    • @gunnarheilmann7135
      @gunnarheilmann7135  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      das Rohr ist original 2.5m lang (in verschiedenen Längen gekürzt -je nach dem wo es reinpassen soll Auto oder Surftasche) und 25mm im Durchmesser ... Danke fürs vorbeischauen ;-)

      Danke Dir für die ausführliche Info! Kannst du mir noch verraten in welchem Shop du die T12 Schutzrohre bezogen hast? Ich finde keinen Shop der diese in Orange zur Verfügung stellt. Ganz Geschweige denn die klare Version davon. Oder hast du sie imprortieren lassen? Dir ein schönes Wochenende!

    Do I need some speed light with camera or just light tubes for to have images which are close as of yours

    • @gunnarheilmann7135
      @gunnarheilmann7135  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      there is no light near the camera - i would sometimes use some extra flash to light up the model - but shoot the light more from the sides

    Hi, I bought the three tubes of different colours from amazon to make a tool for light painting, as you said I was disappointed with the results out the box.
    I have tried parchment paper but these tubes are much smaller, 16mm internal diameter, 20mm external. Did you sandpaper the outside or inside? please

    • @gunnarheilmann7135
      @gunnarheilmann7135  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can try both. It then depends on the flashlights you are using. If its not really a narrow beam it really doesnt help. Try to put a second flashlight from the other end. Another option is to shorten your tube and work with perspective. You can still make it look big when you go closer to your camera. I would suggest using a wide angle lens for that case.

    Mein Plexirohr bekommt kaum Licht ab.Ich vermute das meine billige taschenlampe kaum Power hat.Ich habe ein buntes Plexirohr Überzug bestellt für normale Neonröhren.Die Taschenlampe passt rein,aber vermutlich null Power.

    Die von mir verwendete Taschenlampe hat leider einen etwas zu großen Durchmesser für die Plexiglasröhre. Im Video sprechen Sie von einem Universal Connector! Gibt es hierzu nähere Informationen (Bezugsquellen)?

    • @gunnarheilmann7135
      @gunnarheilmann7135  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dietrich Heise .... ich benutze für diese Fälle schön breites Klebeband / Isolierband. Die "Universal Connector" kommen von Jason Page .. da kannst du die bestellen lightpaintingbrushes.com/ schönen Gruß von mir ... ansonsten kannst du auch im Baumarkt schauen, bei Rohrverbindern solche Gummimuffen gehen auch ;)

    Quick question, so the universal connnector can fit into any rod ?

    • @gunnarheilmann7135
      @gunnarheilmann7135  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      well it takes a certain size .. please go to the shop and look at the diameter .. the 25mm rod is perfect .. but you can put the connector also in the other direction in a 35mm rod but then you need a different torch or take it on ... so you got to do a little engineering here ;-)
