Yes. People are criticizing this man because he ran a speeding ticket but he was doing it because he wanted to balance work and home life with his son. I'd like to see people who have a kid be in this guys shoes
I do understand what this man was doing and working too make sure his family was safe and have thing that was needed and sometime when you trying to get home too your love one you sometime don't think about the speed you are do and like the man said he was trying to get home to his family to his son and I love he was so honest that you know he did not know having kids will be at hard like this and we all learn to compromise sometime for that child for that loved one so we can have all the time with them and that's how I was I did not want to miss a day a week with kids cuz they are precious and they are the next generation
I did not see that one coming at all! This was really touching and I felt for him and I’m glad he wasn’t the arrogant young rich man the officer thought he was. Thanks again, Supermission.
Regardless of wealth and status, the rich guy still has to obey the law. No exemptions there, he should have learned from the previous tickets!!! It is now whether he will care for the lives he affects everyday!!
While I do agree it doesn't excuse his reckless and arrogant driving behavior, it provides a perspective on why he did it. Work and home life is NOT easy so it explains why he did it so hopefully people can stop criticizing him
So true some don't act like this at all and who are we to judge anyone I felt that officer was in the wrong of the things she Said you judging him because he got money so what he's human just like anybody else and yes he got that many speaking he should learn from that
That's what I like about this man he said that he had to work to get to where he at and that is so true some people that have money it's not about Fame and Glory and be recognized some that's trying to work make ends meet every month every week feeding family and your life why they can and that is so true not every person that has money is a show off so true
And the other guy is acting as his own defense attorney.. It's one thing for the one between the accuser and accused/defendant to be the only one with the lawyer while the other does not have his own lawyer but both having no lawyers on their side?
over a crying baby does not excuse for his speeding offence. and he also admitted that his presence will not bnefit the situation as the baby cries more when he holds him. He icould have taken someones life, a brother, a mother, a caretaker, or someone whos a sole breadwinner for the family
The judges job isn't to deny the defendant's right. Count rooms don't work like this. Why is the cops speaking like she is the prosecutor? This isn't how the law works.
I love your channel and your videos and life lessons. You've probably seen my comments. The one on the guy who was too busy to spend time with his girlfriend but lives to regret it is one of my favourites as well as the ones highlighting the importance on being kind to waiters/waitresses and service staff in general. Your videos are the kind that I like to sit down with a cup of coffee in the afternoon to and peacefully watch.

speeding is speeding. his family is not in any harm at all. unless your wife's water broke, or you need to rush your lov eone to hospital due to stroke or othe rlife threatening situation, like escaping from a predatory driver, you have no excuse to speed
I disagree with the punishment. Those 10 days in jail should've been traded for 10 days of community service. He still would've been able to see his family everyday, while learning from his foolish behavior. Given how lenient his punishment was, he's definitely going to repeat it again, knowing that he can use the same sob story to reduce his jail time each time. He already knew what the risks were for speeding. There's absolutely no excuse for someone being that ignorant of something so obvious, while everyone else around them know the risks like the back of their hand. In reality, such a sob story doesn't always work for a defendant, especially if the defendant were someone of color or is much poorer than the rich defendant. They would've gotten the book thrown at them regardless. This is one of the reasons why there's such an animosity towards someone wealthy being punished by the law. The financial penalty of the punishment, doesn't make them learn, when they can easily make it go away. That's not so easy for some much poorer than they are, as they have to suffer the lifelong, steep, financial penalties, that will take them a long time to overcome. This is how the lesson is learned, regardless of one's status. It's when the justice system applies the law equally to everyone, regardless of wealth, that they'll actually be able to get a wealthy, arrogant person to learn that they're not above the law.
Balancing home life and work life is NOT EASY so it makes sense why he was speeding, not saying it excuses it because it doesn't, but it provides a perspective
@@auggiejaime3820 nope, speeding doesn't make the slightest sense under any circumstances. Seen objectively, time saved by speeding is so minimal as to be irrelevant and it is stressful. When speeding you drive further during the reaction time which increases the risk of an accident. When you do have an accident you have time, lots of time, perhaps even forever. Nothing is worth that risk.
You sound like you are so perfect Ms Lana Mack like 👍 you have never made any mistakes yourself in your life, it is so easy to say that people should not be doing this they should not be doing that but have you heard of that saying: “Try walking a mile in my shoes before you pass judgements and criticism onto me!” Easier said than done ha? ✅
Oh dear,@@RebellionWarrior . I have made some whoppers of mistakes; however, I have never ever endangered any one else nor have I ever broken any law. Having volunteered in Red Cross as first responder and instructor I know what injuries are possible in MVA's. I've also driven rescue vehicles, so driving as far as feasible is not foreign to me. I made my driver's licence in 1967 and apart from the roo that jumped on my bonnet in 1973, I have had no collisions. I stand by my statement, there is no excuse for speeding.
@@lanamack1558 Congratulations! That means you are “more fundamentally correct” compared to those who have been in trouble with the law and congratulations on your volunteer work with the Red Cross as well. Depending on how your driving. I feel it shouldn’t matter how fast u are going. But if ur speeding in front of cars and doing it recklessly that could cause an accident then it should be a problem
If speeding carries the death penalty, that would either force civilians to travel by primitive means or escalate into mass executions or civil war. Mass execution is unconstitutional.
lame excuse. "You rather arrive late or not arrive at all" If you arrive late for interview and not get a job, at least your life will still go on, you speed there, you may never get a job, because you already dead
Sorry, I disagree with the decision!! He should spend the 10 days in jail and pay the fine imposed. He needs to learn there are no free rides because of his half hearted explanation. He will not learn a damn thing with this punishment. Lock him up!!!
I live in the UK so maybe UK and US laws and processes are different but a few things struck me first the cop seems to be wearing a uniform that does not look professional, but like a costume from a store, second cops do not call for punishment that is the role of the CPS or the DA in tee US also in the UK no one in court is allowed to give opinion as to what another is thinking or feels and would be stuck for being speculative and argumentative. Once the cp said he thinks he is god there would be an objection or the judge would have told her to keep it factual
He got off easy wit that sob story I wood have find him if he's dead from speeding he'll miss a lot more of his family than those 10-days there is no reason for speeding
He shouldn’t be speeding but I felt the officer was stereotyping him simply because he has money. That’s wrong. However if he wants to live to see his son, slow down.
She assured he had $$$ because of vehicle he was driving. Just because one is driving a nice vehicle or has a nicer house doesn't mean they have $$$ i woah the video would have added on to that part more she judged him
While I normally appreciate videos from Supermission, I have to call this one out. Just because a radar reading says you were going faster than a posted limit does not mean you were guilty of breaking the law, at least in California. As a matter of fact, the odds are that it was the officer who broke the law by using an illegal speed trap. I say this based on over two decades experience running a web site dedicated to helping people fight California traffic tickets. I have never seen a 20 mph speed limit that was justified by engineering. Even school zone limits are 25 mph. The only reason for having an artificially low limit is to make money off of it by using radar to enforce it. That is why California law requires a survey to justify any posted prima facie limit enforced with radar or other electronic devices. While I appreciate the point of the video, the premise is fatally flawed.
This cop is so up herself if she had taken the time in the first place when he was stopped for speeding he might not have done it again it looks like she wanted brownie points yes he did wrong and so did the officer I've got my moral head on today but with police officers like this one it's no wonder the public hate the police I was followed by the police from my home to my friends home I didn't do anything wrong once she got out of my car I was on my way home they stopped me asked what I was doing they knew what I was doing they asked to see my licence I don't carry it with me I have 7 days to take it to the police station they asked to see my road tax I said that it's in date he said I know but only just but it's still in date I was on my own and they was trying to intimidate me it's not nice when the police use power over someone
I'm glad the officer took the time to know this man's story instead of assuming him to be a rich snooplb and stereotyping him, but at least she understands why he did it

You never know what is going on with someone until you hear his or her story...plus get evidence to confirm his or her words too.

If he wants to go that fast, he must do this on the race track and not on the road.
If he really wants to see his son, he should slow down ne t time, that's the lessons here
The cop and the judge seemed like the arrogant ones to me.
Yes I agree, the cop shouldn't have been so judgemental towards him without knowing his story
Ah where is his lawyer ? Why is the cop talking so much and acting like a lawyer or prosecutor ??? Huh???
That’s what puzzled me too
And the other guy is acting as his own defense attorney..
It's one thing for the one between the accuser and accused/defendant to be the only one with the lawyer while the other does not have his own lawyer but both having no lawyers on their side?
His explanation is horrible, this is from a single mom don't risk someone else's life it does not take away speeding his family was in no harm.
