What a great pen - I love that it's not just another pen for you but that you have an emotional connection to it. I hope to book an appointment with Gena at the SF Pen Show and have them grind one of my pens into a journal nib.
A beautiful pen and practical colourwise since many inks and colours will fit it, if you are inclined to matching colours. This pen is on my wishlist with the gold trim and it's nice to see the palladium variant too. Not sure which nib to choose though. I've only dived into the fountain pen sea last December. 😇🩷🙏🙌
Wonderful! When I am able to get an estie I am seriously considering this color for the same reason! Although my mom isn’t here to garden with me any longer, when I am in the garden I am always reminded of her❤
Wow, what a beautiful writing instrument 🤩 I’m really impressed with the quality of the packaging and the fit and finish on the pen itself. I’ve really had a fascination with Esterbrook. Such a rich history! Congratulations Liane, and happy writing. Thanks for sharing.
That journaler's nib writes so smoothly and is nice!! What would you say the journaler's grind is most similar to? Asking for a friend xD She's looking into getting hers grinded and was interested in Journaler's nib. And that color is a great match! ^_^ Kyeung hee is such a great autumn color :)
oh gosh, I don't know what it feels most similar to! The only other stubs I've tried are the TWSBI diamond mini and the Pilot Metropolitan. I would say it writes more closely to the TWSBI 1.1 stub but I prefer the Esterbrook because it feels like the nib point feels smoother along the page than the others.
I just purchased an Esterbrook pen at the PNW Pen Show with a scribe nib. I love it! The clerk told me it was ground by Gena or Jena who was at the show. But we never could connect. Do you think this is the same Gena/Jena?

What a lovely pen! I am looking forward to trying the journaler's nib at the SF Pen Show next month.

I loved the sweet thank you at the end. I haven’t tried the journaler nib yet, but I love the fine, medium, broad, and stub from Esterbrook! Enjoy!
Sounds like everything from Esterbrook is a winner! Thanks :)
What a sweet gift. I’m drawn to this pen too because like you, I like the mix of all the colors and enjoy our botanical garden in St Louis so much.
I love hearing that! If I'm ever in St. Louis, I'll have to pay the botanical garden a visit!
@@lianelikesIt’s a wonderful place; I hope you can see it sometime. 🌹🌸🌺🌻🌺🥀

That is so sweet, I love hearing the bond you have with your mother and that she comes to mind/heart when you're out in the garden.
I hope the pen finds its way to you.
Beautiful gift! Nice color to pair any ink with. 😊
Totally agree!
I love this! I just ordered the nib from Esterbrook. I can’t wait to use it!!!!
Can't wait to hear what you think about it!
I literally just got this pen too! Got it 2 days ago in a medium nib. Just inked up this morning and adjusting to it 🙂
So lovely! Is this your first Estie too?
I purchased it as well with a needlepoint nib. Love how fine it is!
Look at all of these great minds, thinking alike 😉 Congratulations!
@@lianelikes yes it is! ♥️
That journaller nib is the love of my life. Thankful that Gena is such a wonder at their craft!
the nib is so lovely!!! Thank you, Gena!

I bet it was!!!
I heard back from Oblation Papers where I purchased my Scribe Nib and “yes” it was Gena! Love knowing the history for my pen.
