Damien was perfect. He made a lie that was so incredibly true to his character, looked bashful and ashamed for his deeds, and even name dropped a fake friend that he asked to be bleeped. He deserved the win. Fantastic improv skills. Plus the "you should just get better at telling stories then..." is amazing

Yup whenever it came to him I just didn't bother guessing. Out of the entire Smosh cast I feel that he's the best at improv so I had a feeling he can make up anything ridiculous and make it work.
He seems like such an honest and kind person, it seems so out of character

I knew it was fake because she described the bubbles going up and around her head but if she was angled down to dive the bubbles wouldn’t have have been in front of her face.
That's what gave it away to me as well. My dad has been a scuba diver for about 30 years.

Damien, when you first got added to smosh i wasnt sure. I had been watching since the beginning and i didnt know if this new personality would fit in with the rest of the group but man was i wrong. Damien is one of the most core members at this point and its because of his honesty, relatability, his discipline to stay true to who he is. What an inspiration, thank you to all of you all, i was just highlighting him today
When Courtney was talking about how she was 50 ft below the surface I felt like it was a lie because I don't think you can go on a dive like that without suffering from the bends

@@weegee3785 Here's the thing, some scuba places actually DGAF about safety and they just go for it anyway, and she said she already got her license and it was just a guided dive. So 50ft is totally plausible. Also, you don't get the bends from 50ft, you'll finish the air before you're in the NDC limit.

OMG I REMEMBER THE TEEN MAGAZINE! I was a huge fan of them back in the day & I recognized Damien since "So Random!" was my favorite show at the time. I randomly (pun unintended) remembered seeing it a couple years ago but I wasn't sure if I imagined it; I'm thrilled to learn it was real haha.
