When it comes to being compact and drivable, these adventure vans are great. For buyers in the US, still, you can get a full size pickup with much better off road performance for around $40,000 and still have plenty of money to buy a travel trailer before you spend as much as you would on one of these. With a little planning, hauling around a travel trailer gives you a lot more space and still lets you go where you want to go locally when you unhook it at your planned destinations.

Didn't really see a air extraction system either with the shower so it would require lots of care after every shower to clean. Overall a thoughtful conversion for space saving but not very well executed. Odd mixture of utilitarian and home comforts, (example: that clunky fridge latch).
True, this won't be ideal for full time living. But if you use this van for weekend camping and such, and only use the shower/toilet when in emergency (no public restroom/or at night) this won't be an issue.

I drive one, the 2.1 turbo desiel engine 4 speed auto as a service bus in UK. She does about 1,1000 miles a week , around 186 miles a day on 42/48 litres of fuel. An absolute joy to drive and so reliable. Very easy to service,. My wish list is one of these.
My 2018 Sprinter has a USB, this guy just can't find it. If he knew the proper way to wear a hat I'd tell him where it is. Its right next to the 3.5mm audio jack. .
@@carsunlocked Habitualy there is a usb port and a 3.5mm audio jack on top of the dash, driver side. The problem is it doesn't charge very fast... it is to access to the songs on cell phones
Having a Merc 4x4 is nice, that allows to go to places a normal camp-van wouldn't go. Obviously due to the limited space, fitting everything isn't an easy task. That said, I don't like anything about the interior design (Far from being practical).
I agree... too many moving parts to convert.A big one is that you don't jut fold up shower curtains after a shower. they are wet and will mould (canadian autocorrect) and get gross if you do that.
Only liked the awning. The whole design looks cheaply put together for people that will stay in a motel anyhow. A badly told joke. I'm seeing people doing better in there back yard.
Be VERY careful. Had my new 2018 sprinter stolen in under 3 minutes a few weeks ago. They cloned the key using the obd port. I recommend u get some extra security as these sprinters are very easy to steal. Good luck

@@jenniferhill8776 OBD is a plug placed under the engine hood, used for connecting a service computer to the vehicle.. All most every modern car has this utility for reading important information about the entire car.
Hate to break it to you, but the RV market is dominated (quality wise) by the Canadian manufacturers. Much better warranties also. If you think this is expensive, try pricing an Outside Van.
God I feel so sorry for this woman copping so much shit in the comments. The layout really depends on who you are how you're going to use the van, and some of these ideas are great in theory but just poor in execution. I think when you're spending that sort of money, you really want to try a layout before buying. Hire a similar van for a couple of weeks and go off grid. Sleeping on a bed divided into 7 different pieces, and having to convert something every time you want to use it is going to get old, reeeaaaal fast.

Love the van but hate the conversion, have you guys ever took a look at a real camper van from the eighties or nineties or even earlier 2000s? you can sleep 4 or 6 in one of those and still have a refrigerator a micro and TV and such. The eighties and nineties camper vans had a table in the back that would fold down a make a large bed and then a fold out couch in the front that also made a large bed. You could sleep a whole family comfortable in one and really cook food and be comfortable. A lot of them had complete enclosed showers with a small sink too. But then again you chose a very small van to do this, you should have gotten a longer van, you can convert these a lot easier and have a generator too. to run A/C TVs air conditioners and appliances while running down the road. I know I did it with my whole family and went completely across the US in one several times and I'm going to do it again with a modern extended Sprinter that gets really better mileage than we had in the eighties and nineties. Also when you talk about mileage why don't you cut the crap and talk in english as in miles per gallon and not the metric gibberish. You either relocate the Lic Plt to the back of the Cube and add a Lic Plt light or make a duplicate Plate like I did and have both Plates, no issues. The idea is a great one!

This van is humongous for this sort of thing, unfortunately it seems they wasted a lot of space. Not to mention the bathroom that has to be assembled every time before using it. As for the shower... yeah that van is gonna get messy after showering. Plus moving parts and moisture is a recipe for disaster. Nice van but they could've configured it much better.

should have practised all that you wanted to show rather than have to fiddle with everything when turning on the video. Decals have zero effect on the van being an efficient machine, not great set up in my opinion, practice using your Van before making a video and try again you should have better luck with it and focus on the things that make it work well forget the foreign decals

The driver access USB is located in the side of drivers dash storage bin! Towards the center dash storage compartment. Peek in there.
