Weirdly enough, I finally kept up with journaling when I started to do it in English (which is not my native language), somehow having to focus more on my words but also less (cause I don't feel the need to make it as "pretty" as I do in French (my native language), so for people who struggle that might worth a try :) I love that you mentioned that we should journal the way it works for us, just setting priorities in the morning is journaling already
That's an awesome idea! I'm right now learning French and will be in France next year, so I'll just journal in French. Merci mon ami, c'est magnifique!
Oh that’s very interesting! I also journal in English and not Polish! Somehow never wondered why but now that you mention it, it makes sense! Many thanks for watching and your comment !
I never actively thought about the language I journal but now I see a pattern. When I am really really down and trying to process big events and traumas (like losing loved ones) I write in my native language. Every time I am trying to write positive plans and goals that I am excited for, all my writings are in English
Funnily enough I also journal in english even tho German is my first Langauge 😅 I feel like I can Express myself a little better and I am more distanced from myself when doing it in a foreign language, which makes it somewhat easier - idk if that makes sense tho 😂
the quality and the storytelling of your videos are just incredible. I'm honestly surprised that you don't have at least 100k subs yet your channel is so underrated, keep up the good work love the videos🙏
I finally got consistent when I focused on my love of classical literature, poetry, history, and philosophy. I gather ideas, make connections, reflections, incorporate quotes and eventually added a section for one sentence per day prompt "what did I learn today or this week" that may or may not be related to literature or art. It's a joy, never heavy or burdensome. I don't have a set time, but keep it nearby. When I'm not home, I might make a note on my phone or paper, then add to my journal (more commonplace book, I suppose, than journal). Now I'm ready to experiment with prompts. Thanks for sharing!
I can relate to this so strongly. The more I write, the easier and more necessary it feels. I also now rarely go anywhere without my notebook. Thank you so much for sharing and most merry Christmas if you are celebrating!
Once again saying lots of things that make a ton of sense but that never would have occurred to me! The idea about using prompts until you build up the practice is particularly insightful -- it makes me think of how after going to a bunch of yoga classes I got to the point where I could jam out solo without having to be like "this feels weird, am i doing it right?" which is a point I'd like to get to with journaling. Thank you!!
I can relate to the yoga part - although I am still nowhere this good! I am so so glad it was helpful and wish you all the best on the journaling path! Also even if you ever stop for a while, because life gets in the way or whatnot, don’t let it discourage you!
Pisałam dziennik, od momentu, kiedy wiedziałam, że Jesteś...Warto zatrzymywać się na ważnych chwilach. Ważne są te chwile refleksji, wglądu...Kolejny dar ❤❤😊😊
it's february and i really want to try journaling as part of my routine. i came across your video and wow it's really comprehensive i gained lots of insights!! thank you so much for making this video! love from indonesia
Oh thank you so much - I hope it is going well 😍 also I love Indonesia, have only been in Bali so far but really want to be back! Best wishes from London!
i liked how you delved into the different forms of journaling as well as the mediums through which they can be done. i'm going to experiment with them during this month ❤ i feel like having these different approaches/mediums would make journalibg more accessible depending on your energy/mood/specific way you want to express yourself on that day etc. i think one thing that helped me with daily reflective journaling was noting down the mundane. things you noticed/heard/saw, a doodle, your fave song that day etc become small brush strokes painting the canvas of that day imo the blank page perfectionism thing is a pain tho lol so hard when you want the journal to look cute too hehe
I love how you made describing the mundane a creative exercise in itself! I love doing that on holiday, when everything seems more interesting haha! 😍 thank you for your comment and kind words!
I really like the distinctions you made between the different kinds of journaling! as someone not very fond of journaling I found reflective journaling too tedious and utilitarian journaling a bit too methodical for me, but I can totally see myself journaling ritualistically! Maybe something I'll pick up for new years :)
wauw! I just wanted to start journaling today and wanted to see if you made any video's about it! Haha what an amazing coincidence! Thank you so much! Also I think this is the best way I can imagine starting it bc now I know exactly which style I'm gonna use!
I am so glad to hear 💕 honestly it wasn’t easy for me to properly get into journaling so let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way!
The is very random but at 2:24 are you wearing jhumkas? They are SO cute! Where did you get them please? also your channel and editing skills are incredible. Thanks for providing so much value, I keep falling out of my journalling habit. Can’t wait to see you go big!!
Oh wow - well spotted!!! Yes, these are jhumkas - I got them while in India this year from a street vendor for maybe like 2 usd? They are not any precious material just metal I think but I love them! I know you can also buy them in London :) where are you based? And thank you for kind words!!!
@lostinadmiration Amazing! Hope you had a lovely time in India. They really suit you and go so well with everything. Going to try and find some online...I'm based in Manchester, UK :)
Very well presented Daria. Despite being passionate about writing, I find reflective journaling about daily activities very redundant as a lot of days our daily activities are repetitive. But whenever I visit a place or experience something new, I make a journal out of it and keep it as a souvenir. How do you journal about a book? I mean just your opinion about the content or summary points. Totally admire your tips about consistency. Will certainly try lighting the candles, especially in these winter months when the energy level already feels down.
So about books - it’s sort of like taking notes on main points, plus if I liked the book / how it made me feel. Especially for novels I like to note how I enjoyed the read or not and why. I read so many novels I tend to forget which one was which - like with movies! Many thanks for your kind comment ☺️ sending you some warmth and sun ☀️
Thats wonderful! Such a writeup will be an easy way to recollect and relive the essence of the book. I am also an avid novel reader. Hope to see some book review video in the near future from your end.😊
@@lostinadmiration I basically love a wide variety of genres. I am open to any fresh, interesting and enriching read. But yes, a little inclination towards thrillers, adventures and well-being. (mostly contemporary ones) What about you?
@@Shashwat_1729 I love English romantic literature and gothic novels (Bronte sisters, Rebecca to give same examples). I also enjoy thrillers and some historical / fantasy novels. But pretty much anything that’s well written and draws you in!
Hi thank you! We create videos with my partner, his channel is called Karol Plucinski and I think he did a few tutorials. We use now DaVinci resolve free version plus some After effects once in a while :) also I would recommend TH-camrs such as Peter McKinnon, Mati Hapoja and Fulltime filmmaker ☺️
funny enough, I'm super obsessed with notebooks and stationery in general, but I tend to journal on my phone XD I'd definitely be that person who buys a really pretty journal and then doesn't want to use it 'cause it's too darn pretty 🤣
*Congratulations again and over again. Your channel is so fantastic all sense. You deserve more and more subscribers in this beautiful channel. By the way, I bought the same clock that you have and told me in the last video* ❤🥹😇
