With the wheel offset I didn't have to tub the rear end. The truck is back on the road and you can see the fitment in some of my other videos. Thanks for watching.
@@flipflopsgarage thanks. And Congratulations on a great looking truck. I'm doing a 68 f100. We shortened the rear end housing two inches on both sides. I was concerned about the wheel well. Been three and a half years . But we are getting ready to put the bed back on the frame and reassemble.
I'm going with the QA1 on my 78 for the front and back halfing the rest with a friend. One thing I noticed with your fuel setup at the rear. Aren't those pumps supposed to be gravity fed? It looks like you would be causing that pump to have to suck. If your tank doesnt have a baffle and you hit the brakes you will likely starve that pump briefly from fuel slosh. I had roughly the same fuel set up and I had my pre filter and pump lower than the bottom of the fuel cell. Hope things work out for ya and great wheel choice by the way
That cell was built for track racing and has baffles and foam in it for fuel control. I haven't has any issues even with hard stops to test the brakes at 1/4 tank. The pump isn't in the best location but I think as close to the tank as the pump is it won't be an issue. I am going to the terminator system with the new engine and I'm going to look into a different style pump for that.
Could you shave the bracket and swing it up straight? I have a 67 longbed. I plan on following a similar plan with as your build. Looking forward to ours done!
Just starting to plan my 67 F100 build - QA1 front and back. I like the disc brake swap you did. Can you tell me what kit you used? I assume you swapped rear axles to a 31 spline and a 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern for front and rear rims? Can't wait to see your finished truck.
I used a Wilwood kit for a 79-81 Camaro. I got cut to fit Allstar axles with the correct offset and 5X4.75 bolt pattern for the rear. Good luck on your project. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi, what are the dimensions of the ROCKET RACING WHEELS disc 18 x 10 - 5x 4.5 - 5.5 in BS ????? YOUR TIRES ARE TOYO PROXES 305/35ZR 18Y I really like those wheels, I would probably buy them too. Could you please send me the exact specification? thanks bro
Looking good
Sick truck
Thanks
Fantastic build. Will you have to tub yr fender wells to fit that size wheel and tire combo? Thanks and keep us updated.

@@bobbyboothe8964 I should add I am running a rear from a 77 F150 and it was wider than my 68 by about 2 inches. Good luck on your project.

You could but it would cause the pump to tilt and throw off the reservoir. I am working on a different solution and may have something soon.

Thank you. They are 18x10 with 5.5 b.s. and 305/35r18 R888R tires.
Are manual racks available along with ratio options..?
It's a fox body Mustang rack so any option for a fox body should fit.
Gm truck P/S coolers are above the pump if that helps
Thanks for the reply. I found that out after it was mounted but was told they could go below also.
