Impressive runs......That 6.1 with a canned tuned would stretch that challenger out even with bolt on. BTW a 392 would bus lane that Chally and I say this because I owned all four platforms respectfully.
@@antblizzy5508 it depends on who’s gear ratio is effective and efficient Say if an 8 speed was tuned for less wheel spin and maximum speed, the gear ratio will be slower, but that also means that this person could probably reach like 200 miles per hour but at the start his 0 to 60 will be the slowest in history Now let’s say that a 5 speed was tuned for boosted acceleration that 5 speed is going to beat the 8 speed at the jump do to the 8 speed being able to reach 200 with a slow 60 start and the 5 speed only being able to go 170 with a very quick 0 to 60, Now there’s also more factors like low end power and high end power. It’s almost impossible to beat an 8 speed with a 5 speed no matter the horsepower, It just depends what your racing to, the 8 speed will beat you because after you hit your top speed the 8 speed will still have 3 more gears to run through before it reaches its top speed.
I remember racing a dude in his plum crazy purple 6.1 charger in my 2013 charger rt when I was stock. I beat him on 2 rolls and he got me on one plus a dig, but overall performance wise they're not far apart at all. Bolt on 5.7 won as expected, good races and keep up the videos bro 👍🏻

I'm not surprised he won but I didn't expect him to pull that hard. The Scat Pack will be different story. Not only because of the power but the 8-speed's better gearing.
That Challenger copperhead? I've only seen it on the Ram, color looks amazing! That thing pulled on the 6.1 like crazy! I wonder how the 6.1 reacts with a good tune?
The Copper colored Challenger isn't really a fast car but it's easily one of the best looking ones I've seen on TH-cam. Very tastefully modified and thank God there's no wrap on it.
Seems like he has the same exact setup as me, except the Victor. Have you talked to him about the drivability of the car with that on? I’ve thought about buying it before I cam this thing.
Depends on when it was shot. But the 5.7 got a lot of work done recently and hasn't been tuned yet. So it is pig rich and down on power but 450 WHP so far. Keep in mind the early 5.8 had 270 CFM heads and 8:1 compression. The eagle 5.7 is 10:1 and the heads are 330 CFM, so closer to the 6.1. But Scotts will be around 500 WHP once the tune is finished, with the green cam. That cam in question doesn't have the top end duration flow, a low to mid range cam. Wondering when real cams like the one in the Vette make it to the hemi
The non eagle 5.7 never had 8:1 compression. Stock was 9.6:1 in pre eagle, and 10.5:1 in eagles. Much closer than 8:1 vs 10:1. The eagle heads do flow quite a bit better though, as you mentioned. In my experience, peak numbers really don't reflect any huge difference in relatively stock setups. The big advantage the eagle has is the vvt, but if you're talking that much power, you've probably already ditched it.
My close friend have a stock 6.1 ST8 06 300 and I use to havs a fully bolt on 5.7 300S 2019 model and I use to beat up on him all the time but mainly because I have a 8 speed transmission and he only have a 5 speed

Naw, he did a great job driving. He wasn't slap shifting it lol? He revved up to around 4500 every roll. That RT is 400 wheel, theres not much a stock 6.1 can do about that, it is what it is.
The advantage of the 5.7 is simply the torque with the VVT. The 5.7 eagle makes better low end than the 6.1. The 5.7 is really about a 390hp engine and the 6.1 around 430-440. The 5.7 gains the most from bolt ons as its corked up more especially on the exhaust side. I’m making 358rwhp out of my M6 5.7 with a 6.1 air box, catback, and a tune. I’ve had a set of 392/Hellcat manifold forever that I plan to swap and expect they should help it quite a bit. They should come standard on the 5.7 to me as the 6.1 is gone no need to try and make them look that far apart anymore when they weren’t. However the 5.7 should not be so far away from the 392. Having them 60-70hp is ok, not 100+. There’s no reason the 5.7 shouldn’t be at least making 400-410hp officially with the parts bin they have already.
Man You have influenced me to start nodding my car. Ive had it for 3 years now and just started modded the engine. I just installed JBA long tubes and catless mids.
