Only if you apply pressure to the screen. Just don't be too heavy handed with it. Ive done this multiple times without smashing my screen

Worked like a charm. The corners put up a fight on a Samsung Tab A. Be cautious not to crack the screen. I got in, unplugged my battery, did a hard reset, and my tablet began charging normally after I plugged it back in and put the back on.

wow I just scratched it around trying to open the back, but gave up and put it to charge and it is now charging, crazy.
@@thereportinggeek Hah, scratching is pretty normal and to be expected without a spudger, iFixit sells one that I've been meaning to snag, but thankfully I don't have to fix electronics on a daily basis, so I've slacked off on buying it. Glad it fired back up!

It would have been helpful to know how you got the first opening before you use the tweezers. DUH.
Got back off, now why wont it charge & when it starts charging, it will stop & start going backwards, Why will it drain completely to 0%.
Maybe the battery ribbon cable is loose?

Thank you for your help. I've seen half a dozen videos if people popping the tablet open right away. Patience is the key when doing it the first time. I was doing it wrong before watching your video. I found it easy starting by the MicroSD card. I have an S pen on my tablet and that corner was easiest to open up.
*Edit: Finally pried it off after with my hands after working 1 side long enough. Disconnected the battery, held power button 20 seconds, reconnected it and booted it up. Everything is back to normal now. Thank you!
My screen cracked at the corner, ack! Ty for the tutorial, this is just difficult. I'm frustrated with Samsung building these sealed tablets.

Very difficult. Some parts popped open OK, but the back is flimsy and keeps splitting when I try to pry it open, and the last bit I just can't get off. The tablet is now looking the worse for wear. Probably should have taken it to a shop to get someone to do it with the right tools and expertise.

I used the smallest flat head screw driver I could find to pop the back off! I had a black screen, the LCD plug was loose. Worked perfectly!! Screen is back up now. THANKS!! Droppin a LIKE now.

This was the exact reason I came to the video for and the fix was the same too. I think the LCD cable slides out eventually due to the vibrational motor shaking it out over time.

Hello, my name is Stephanie, I have a galaxy a7 and there doesn't seem to be a seam as you showed.
This tablet's edges are tight.
I can't open it because I forgot the pin and the people at Sam Sung need the serial number. So I thought I'd try You Tube.
Use a guitar pick or thin credit card( old one) do not use metal you will damage it. I did one using a guitar pick I slid it in where the SD card goes in and I worked away from there . Gently push it in until the cover starts popping up and then slowly keep sliding the pick & pushing inwards to pop the cover off the snaps. Do not pull the cover you will crack the screen or possibly break the snaps. I took the cover off in about 15 minutes. You have to take your time. Putting the cover back on is a pain be careful you will crack the screen

The best and easiest way to open the tabli's back cover is git the micro card out first. Then with some hard plastic flat tool pry open at the sides at the corners and slowly twist a turn to hear a Pop sound and then go around the edges ch will pop up with a little twist. Slowly but surely it will be done.

Use plastic flat type tool the best so that you do not break or damage the screen. Our can start at the corners or at the SD card side removed

I have searched on TH-cam on how to open a table that has no gap to open. Had a very hard time looking for one. However I came algo with this video and it helped me tremendously. Thank you 😊 Even though you have already started it help me so much j. Followed instructions.

Some of the newer tablets are not meant to have owner's take these backs off. You will/may damage it if you try. If you've just spent almost $1K on a tablet, choose your next step wisely.
