I tried to fix this issue with my tablet a few years ago, but I couldn't quite get it to work. Your video showed that I could turn on the tablet while the back was off, so I could troubleshoot the issue before putting the back on and then having to take it off again. After the 7th time of taking the back off, I just quit and the tablet sat in a drawer till I really needed it again for this weekend. I was able to get it up and running in a half hour! It's legit! Get a small screw driver to separate, it's way faster, I had it open in 30 seconds! Fixed the LCD cable, disconnected battery, reconnected, pushed power button and it came on! I was SHOCKED!!! THANK YOU so much! Added: reset tablet, then fix the date and time to be able to set up wifi, everything works fine
Oh my gosh, you are the first person who admits the obvious fact that it's almost impossible to open the cover of this one. I was trying it the whole evening and I gave up... have the same tool as you do, however it doesn't work... will try tomorrow again 🤔
80pounds they wanted for a new screen when I knew it was a lose connection a 10pound repair max! this was last Christmas I came home found this video and fixed it myself. I have had this video out a few times since. I needed it again today and as always didnt fail tab back up and running again.
This video helped me with my exact same tablet. I was about to cry if i couldnt fix it and had to buy a new one!!!! But it turned back on!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!
Taking the back off was definitely beneficial. I pushed up on the black strip & the smaller white/gray strip next to the larger black one until it lite up! Tablet hasn’t been used in months 👍🏿 I’ll suggest using a small flat head type instead if screw driver. Took half the time to take apart. I have a Tab A (2016) 10.1 SM-T580 model

Too late to return. Oh well now I have a back up tablet. And will know what to do in the future if it ever happens again. Thanks for the great tech advice, it worked!!!!
Thank you! Mine is SM-T580 and it worked perfectly. 👏
Thank you so much. I used your video to fix my mum's tablet. We were at a point to send it to be fixed. You saved me a lot of time and money!
Awesome!
I can kiss you...so I used a flat hair clip it worked perfectly and my tablet is the Galaxy Tab A (2016) model number SM- T580
Mine is that as well , for some reason it isn't working
@Barbie.stm77 mine was just the video cable acting weird
Wow!!! It worked!!! Thank you soooo much! Disconnecting the battery did it for my tablet! THANK YOU!
Thanks for the video! I had to do this twice now, and this time I put electric tape to secure it. I suspect I'll probably have to do it again, but I may replace the ribbon the next time.
Glad to hear it works at all! Did you have to plug the battery in and out as well? or only fix the display connection?
With what did you open it? My tablet has not much space to get between the screen and the back and I fail every time I try.
Same device - same problem - fixed successfully. Also a failure of a backlight led was fixed by this action. Thanks very lot.
Thank you brother. You’ve just saved me from throwing it up the wall 🙌👊
You are the BEST thank you so much! I was able to fix my Samsung galaxy tab A 2016 with S pen thanks to you
Omg. Yes. Thank you. Saved me hella money. Did this and it worked!!! Thank you. Thank you! Mine was the battery trick.
Cool to hear!
@@SoSoTechTube I've done all the steps. It happened when I unthred the battery cord. But the same problem happens over and over again. I'm tired of taking the lid off all the time and doing the same thing. It solves the problem you say, but why is it repeating?
Four years later it happened again and this video helped fix the screen. 🙏😮💨
perfect !!!! same happened to my tablet....... fixed it.... thanks
Great! Glad to have helped!
Thanks for not editing this video to be shorter, or I would've ended up paying $120 for repairs (or not at all!) Also, the guitar pick was by far the best tool to quickly take the back off!
Said the same thing in the end. The battery trick did it 🥰
got to say u are life saver. i have a tab A 10.1 (2016). the screen went black on me the day the warranty ended. i was not about to pay for something so simple. i searched forever till today when i found your video. followed your steps and now it is back on. oh the back of my case alsosay ce0890.. thanks again for the video.
Just smashed ma screen tryin to take back off ha im yellin
Im smash my phone until it turn on back
@@artistixc that's not good
Wow! I've been trawling google and youtube looking for fixes and finally after about 2 weeks found this one. Mine also had slight shadows at the bottom left corner and right of the home screen button before going black completely. I was convinced a pricy repair/ new tablet was my destiny but this tutorial was spot on! Excellent stuff! I owe you! 🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪
I was on the fence about subscribing and “Shut your face” clinched it - you’ve got yourself a new subscriber 😂👏🏾♥️
Thank you very much. with your help I managed to fix my old childhood tablet. A huge 👍
my tablet isn’t turned on tho, like when i press the turn up button there is no sound and when i put it on charge it says it’s charging but never charges, ive tried rebooting it, plugging it into my car, computer etc and nothing is working
I have the same problem. If you figured out anything please reply to my comment that way I can try it out.
Josseline Castillo plz let me know 2
disconnect the battery for a few seconds then put it back in when you have done that charge your tablet and once you have done that it should turn on
I had the same problem....see my comment I posted today. My display cable and I think maybe processor cable were loose. And then started up. The hard part is getting the cover off. Hope this works for you!?
Galxay Tab 10 (SM-P580)

Every tablet diff, so seen better shorter videos. Mines has issues so I had it turn on & turned off it isn't coming back on. Is a Lindsey & other one, but the other a Digiland not even charging. Not even original charger now. I wish I could take battery on mines.

Thankyou for your help. My husband fixed my mums tablet using your helpful video.
Im scared doing this because i want to fix my sim card tray and i am also scared because i might ruin my tablet
Thnx you very much,i am a trinidadian and i followed your simple steps and i was successful, this tablet is my daugther's only form of virtual learning during this pandemic, thnx u ah million sir
Thank u so much!! It legit worked 100%
I just wanted to say this worked for me on my T580 today. The wifi only version I think of this model! Thank you! I used a hair clip, tiny screwdriver, and some tweezers.. You wouldn't be able to do this on an iPad, that's for sure.. I like how it clicks out! I even did it and it already had a cracked screen! You just have to be gentle.. That tape was loose on mine when I opened it..
the tape on mine wont go back. Im gonna replace it with some electrical tape t.y.
Edit: i just used thin strips of invisible tape that i cut up
Hey man thanks for your help. Our tablet was broken since 5 years and we never thought about how to repair it until I recently got interest in repairing electronic things. So I started with this small repair :D
thanks it works for me :)
I am an Arab man, and I learned from you, and was able to fix my phone, thank you very very very very very very very very very very much
RIP, when I was trying this, I broke it and cracked the screen
Oof
OMG same here..😬😵😭
Same here
I started to run an exacto blade as per your method of removing screen and after a few minutes of scoring the tablet screen woke up to my pleasant surprise.....thank you
tbh, just never buy a tab A
i’m kinda crying because i’ve had a tab A and it was my childhood.I do not want to lose it so yeah.
watching this video, whether it works or not, was worth my Tab A failing! Thx for being a genuine person.
I too was really worried but managed to pull the back off just easing it with my fingers and nails. I pushed the strip up but it didnt work until I disconnected the battery and then voila.... it worked. You're an absolute hero, thanks sooo much for sharing this.
Thank you so much!!! Fixed my son's tablet. He's over the moon.
I swear if I hadn't watched you pull that back off, all rough and stuff I wouldn't have ever attempted this on my own.
But pulling the battery out worked for me, thank you!!
Tried this and it worked a treat. The battery disconnection was the one that worked.
Thanks for posting this
Found my tablet not working tonight. Googled it and took a shot. That was actually problem. Thank you 😊
Currently watching at almost 4am trying to get my daughter's tablet alive again. It died on the road through no fault of her own. This is a buisness trip and I promised her all the tablet time when I had to go be an adult. So of course it died on day 2 in the middle of no where. Not sure this will work on hers but regardless you've gained a subscriber.
Thanks for this video my daughter watched cartoon on my tablet till the battery went flat and since then it would not change . I just followed the steps I your video and its now charging. Soo happy 😊
My screen has just risen!!! I'm immensely grateful to you. Blessings from Italy!
Thanks man you just saved me $125.00. My ribbon was completely disconnected. Put it back in place and now is working properly. You are the best ☝️☝️☝️
Amazing, for someone who is useless at this sort of stuff. This genuinely worked and saved me having to fork out for a new one. Top man
Really appreciate you going through the pain, helped fix a Galaxy Tab A (6) with a disconnect/reconnect of the battery.
Thank you very much! Using this video I just brought my galaxy back to life. Took about 10 minutes. So glad you made this video.
