Cartoon Network's Fusionfall was a web based MMO that was popular when I was younger. It was a great game that featured all of the cartoon network characters from popular shows, and it was revolutionary at the time. Unfortunately, however, the game died and was forgotten about by many. In today's video we are going to be covering why and how it died.

lol dude I had the same feeling about it for years, I looked it up on google in the early months of 2018 and found it, I was jumping in my seat for months tell they released it. then in october of 2018 they pushed a massive update that added in so much more content its great.

Fusion Fall’s aesthetic was beautiful. Ik it’s a bit dated, yet it’s still beautiful with its design. I miss this, I fuckin miss free realms, and clone wars adventures. Miss them all.

Well be happy you can still play FusionFall. Since a small albeit dedicated team of devs have been working on two seperate versions of Fusion Fall, those being Fusion Fall Legacy and Fusion Fall Retro. Also yes they did get permission from Cartoon Network themselves for the fan project.

In the shows you only get to see the show, nothing else, it's nothing I would want to watch after many, many years. When they discover youtube they'll learn that they can find so much content like, gaming, tutorials and even educational videos.

Free Realms makes me honestly cry from all the memories. Lego Universe I personally felt died before it could be better, but I believe it closed because not enough people bought the membership.

As of April 16th, Cartoon Network issued a DMCA Takedown on Fusionfall Retro, Fusionfall Legacy and every Fusionfall-Related Projects. To anyone seeing this, or anyone coming back after this takedown, know this: We, the Fusionfall community, succeeded. We succeeded in bringing back a game that was thought to be dead for years, and breathing life into it once more. So do not think of this as the end of Fusionfall forever. The Game Lives on in our thoughts, hearts and memories.

Retro can't sponsor you, as soon as they gain even a dollar form this project the are at risk of getting shut down from Cartoon Network. Honestly kudos to them, they created the entire game in spare time and can't even take donations from people for this amazing project.
How would they make money from sponsoring someone, they lose money. All the sponsorship would do is give the project a bit more attention and players.

I completely missed out on this back in the day. 2009-2010 was a rough period in my life and I had no access to my computer, but man, I was so interested in this game. So happy to see it brought back to give it a try.

Over a year later since this video and here we are with FusionFall's second death. Hopefully we can see the game again in some light in the future. I missed this game so much. I've been playing retro since the initial release, and yes it's suuuuper dated. But it's a bit of my childhood back. Plus, Universe has me hyped

There is an fan remake for Lego Universe. Search Lego Universe Darkflame or LUNI.
Fusion fall retro is super active and devs are really responsive to people and fix things when they find, there are always people on, and they also do holiday events and stuff. All for free, it's pretty great.

I could never get fusionfall started. It just refused to start. So I spent years on Adventure Quest Worlds. Props to anyone who reads this and played AQW too.

I've played AQW a few times. Got burned out on the day I learned the fabled _"Sword with skulls on it, and skulls on the skulls, and spikes on the skulls, and on fire"_ that I joined to aquire in the first place required a Membership subscription to use...
I play the *_Hell_* out of AQ3D though!
Moral of the story: It ran out of content, there was nothing keeping the game fun and due to budget cuts their project was doomed to fail.

2012/2013 Minecraft was officially out, so it was a big hit for every indie kid-base games. So I think the success of this game made other small games disappeared... Well, not everyone have to win on gaming store.

Fusionfall was brought back though! Different people are working on it and it works wonderfully now! It can be a bit buggy at times but it's so much better now. You can tell the people who work on it now really care about the game

Game was already set in motion to die when you began playing it. But haha funny joke.
The only thing I really remember from this game was accidentally hacking into someone else's account.
At one point there was a limited time event for some Ben 10 character hat for the player where all you had to do was enter your username and it would automatically log you in with the item, apparently no one tested it to make sure you couldn't just enter someone else's username and 1 typo later I was into a different account. Completely terrified by the idea that someone could just log into my account and delete everything I stopped playing.

I actually remember playing the Beta of this game. I remember being so proud because I had gotten to name my character properly instead of using their weird character-name-creator thing.

I'm always happy to see videos about FusionFall from TH-camrs that don't have their content related to it. Is such an unknown game around the world just because it was released only on the american CN page and only a small percentage of people outside of USA were able to find it. The game now is alive, with the original version mentioned in the video before that "New Beginning" update which was indeed an idea wrong implemented. My channel is mainly based on making FusionFall content since the old days and seeing that the game still has some potential to be out there and bring fun to players thanks to the Retro and Legacy teams, makes me happy and encourage every person to visit this amazing MMO, has a great history, beautiful scenarios and a simple system that allows anyone to play it without having to "be better" like other games encourage you to do so. 2 words: Not. Good.
During my time with fusion fall I experienced:
INSANE memory usage
INSANE lag spikes
Lag spikes that caused me to be instantly killed by groups of enemies
Freezes that not even task manager could save; I had to turn off my PC whenever it froze, and when it DID freeze, I thought my PC was going to fucking explode.
I genuinely want an entire video talking about the lore of fusion fall. LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN. 😂

THIS GAME WAS MY EVERYTHING. I remember back in 2019 I must've been about 13 when I discovered this masterpiece of a game I couldn't believe it was real. I never really connected to an MMO before like I did with Fusionfall, especially since back then those were some of CN's glory days. I started playing the game as soon as I found it on the website, registered immediately was hooked. Only to find out there was a cap at level 4 if you weren't a member or something (basically if you weren't paying the fee). This game...
Funny story is the reason I even got myself a debit card LOL. I begged my mom for one because I wanted to proceed into going to the past (Those of you who played know what I mean) as the game was sent into the future. Anyway I don't wanna go into my life story but I played this game like no other... I would wake up at 6AM... YES 6AM and play this shit ALL DAY LONG. I remember there was a feature that if you played for too long you'd be warned to take a break otherwise you won't acquire as much fusion matter? Something like that. I was sooo disheartened to see it shut down especially since I took a 1 year hiatus from it, came back and realized it was gone, I was shattered. But seeing this video, shit happens. I can't believe you even made this video most people I ask don't even know what it is, or was. I'm surprised to see how it's still being discussed in 2019. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS. It certainly was a big part of my childhood too.

Omg this game was the first ever MMO that i ever played with my dad! I remember vaguely how my character looked like: I had Blue hair and some sort of blue medievalesque outfit that was blue and white. The naming system used the preset words thing, and my name was Crazy Coco Boy or something. I remember sucking at the game and being so scared of the liar levels because of the dark gloomy styling and the usually big enemies, which is understandable seeing that I was 6 at the time. Ah, I miss those days. The nostalgia boner is real!

Damn fusion fall still out here i remember playing the free version only because I was to broke to afford premium version. Maybe if they made it fee the game would be popping for a longer time.
