Hey. U now have the biggest fan{if thats even possible in our situation}. I have completely done away with all my other species{I had a 47 tank FR} and with your inpiration have rescoped my focus to SRTs and FHs exclusively... I think with more education in breedong along with the acceptance of a demanding and everychanging hobby, there can be a greater market as well as more genetic quality and diversity. I know your probably swamped {no pun inended} but i would just love a change to chat 1 on 1 if you would be down for it...

Blood parrot I think. But short bodies die earlier
Short bodied fish are produced after multiple generations. Choose shorter fish that are more compact and round. It helps. Breeding with Blood parrots as DANKdaHERBALIST said will produce Kirin parrots, basically parrot hybrids with flowerhorns colors.

My female is not breeding... I had raised the temperature also... What can be done let me know
I have a question I have a male and I bought a fry and kept in glass partition since some days for a minute that fry is changing its colour to dark red and then in a minute or 2 fry is not usually i have seen that colour when female is about to pay egg. How will I come to know my flowerhorn and that fry is mature enough what sign I can see from them
I.., don’t think fry can breed. Flowerhorns are usually at least 6 months old and 3.5”+

Hey how's it going I have Red Devils in a 90glln male and female it in never see them breeding .they do the breeding dance.12 m 9"female and couple other Red Devils about 5" in a 90 glen. I've never seen eggs please answer me back thank u

Ok I will feed her shrimp once a day I guess .my usual feed what does it do for her.
+John Correia the high protein in the shrimp helps get her in the mood for love. Might play some marvyn gaye too

Sounds fine. Just keep a close eye on them for a few days so that you can pull one out if things go to hell.

i try to my worm platinum pearl male flowerhorn and a red dragon why they always fight
It might be that they’re both male, they’re not meant to breed, or one or the other is just being rude. I’ll see what I can do to help.

how long do you pair your flowerhorn before you remove the divider?
It’s usually a few weeks to a month or two. I find that most fish take about a month to pair off if they’re already mature.
