Hello Everyone! GoldenNova here! Earlier this week we covered G Golems, but it feels a little off to talk about them and NOT the theme where their central Crystal Heart comes from! So today, I present to you all the Singers of the Surf, Marincess!

As a Marincess player, I feel like I need to say a few things. This doesn't at all mean that I didn't like the video - I loved it in fact, and clearly a lot of work goes into these videos, I just want people wanting to play the deck to succeed:
-Marincess Springirl is actually one of the best monsters in the deck, being a 1-card Link-4, alongside Blue Tag and Sea Horse.
-Marincess Crown Tail and Seastar are not very good. While an ATK boost in tandem with Great Bubble Reef's effect during the Standby Phase in the case of Crown Tail, or a twice per turn ATK boost in combination with Blue Slug, Coral Anemone's GY effect or Marbled Rock in the case of Seastar seem appealing, they're not impactful enough to play in the deck over other things.
-Marincess Crystal Heart while good if use as Link material because of Battle Ocean, it's not needed because of Wave's effect being similar.
-Marincess Wonder Heart is only okay, and most people don't play it. In any scenario where you could use it, Aqua Argonaut is just strictly a better card.
-As for the Trap cards, I know you probably hyped them up just for the video, but the only really good one is Wave, being an incredibly good option in the deck. The other ones just aren't impactful enough, or too situational.
Gonna pin this to make sure as many people see this as possible. Thank you for the info, and I appreciate your understanding!
Wow! Thank you so much!
Edit: I realized that I forgot about Marincess Basilalima. It's also not very good. Despite protection being good, your monsters will already be unaffected most of the time with Wave.
Also, to clarify something about the first sentence. If it seemed rude, I didn't mean it to be rude at all, and I do admit that my wording could've been better.
I also spelled Sea Star incorrectly...
I really like the Crystal Heart combo, mostly because I can go into it more easily than I can Coral Triangle with a WATER in hand. But now that I think about it, I may actually just be dumb. I have a lot of prep to do for regionals next month.
I play 100% pure Marincess(no generic cards cuz its more interesting) and I have to disagree with you about some things : Crown Tail is actually pretty good when it comes to def strategy(saved me countless times from certain defeat), and about Traps; Cascade is also good(when you use Argonaut's negate and summon Anemone then use Cascade to boost Argonaut and save Anemone for next turn if something goes wrong), also Current for good 1600 extra damage. And Basilalima, saved me a couple times when I had to rebuild my board
As someone who is playing Marincess at every locals in my town, I'm excited to see this.
I hear this from playing a deck into every locals
th-cam.com/video/1-emQo-7O3Y/w-d-xo.html
I've only played master duel but i wanna ask you something, i know some deck can be expensive but have you ever felt bored playing the same deck over and over again?
@@yuwonoguntur2451 Yeah, I got bored playing Invoked Dogmatika Shaddoll after 3 months, not Marincess however, I've been playing Marincess since February on every locals I went to. The deck went many changes over the months, seeing which extenders were good and amazing support came in July. Marincess is super fun for me.
Can you share your decklist?
@@dmadam3023
Main Deck:
3x Marincess Blue Tang
3x Marincess Sea Horse
3x Marincess Springirl
2x Marincess Pascalus
1x Marincess Mandarin
1x Marincess Sleepy Maiden
1x Marincess Battle Ocean
2x Marincess Dive
1x Marincess Wave
3x Ash Blossom
3x DD Crow
3x Cynet Mining
3x Forbidden Droplet (I just bought these 3 days ago and still in testing, I removed 2x Gameciel and 1x Gozen Match)
2x Pot of Desires
2x Dark Ruler No More
1x Called by the Grave
1x Harpie's Feather Duster
3x Infinite Impermanance
2x Gozen Match
Extra Deck:
2x Marincess Blue Tang
1x Marincess Sea Angel
2x Marincess Coral Anemone
1x Marincess Crystal Heart
1x Marincess Marbled Rock
1x Marincess Coral Triangle
1x Marincess Aqua Argonaut
1x Marincess Bubble Reef
1x Splash Mage
1x Bahamut Shark
1x Toadally Awesome
1x Number 4: Stealth Kragen
1x Abyss Dweller
Side Deck:
3x Nibiru
1x Garura, Wings of Resonant Life
3x Super Polymerization
1x Lightning Storm (would put 2 more if i had them, but for now going with this list)
1x Twin Twisters
1x Dark Ruler No More
3x Dimensional Barrier
2x Solemn Judgement
Keep in mind this list is tailored to my locals after many many matches. Your locals could be different depending on the decks that play. Gameciel feels like such an overperforming card but I can't find a way to fit it in. Nibiru and Gozen have recently been underperforming cards so I might remove those on my next locals.
Here's something from a Marincess player.
If you send Springirl off of Blue Tang's Normal and then get it back with Blue Slug, you can actually chain block Sea Angel with Springirl's link off effect. Yes you're banishing Blue Tang for this, but chain blocking the 'Link 1 that searches the field spell' helps a ton. Though if they have Imperm/Veiler then you were already boned to begin with lol
Springirl is like one of the best marincess extenders lmao
Edit: also you're totally fine not playing crystal heart. The protection is nice but its just extra effort. Argonaut, Wave, Toadally and the mass amount of followup are more than enough already
Ok but argonaut being a towers, wave, and toad sounds cooler
True. When I’m late game grinding against Marincess and they top deck a spring girl I’m like “oh here we go again”
I only go for it when it’s possible or I can’t make toad.
With Toad being banned in Master Duel, would Crystal Heart be nice to slot in instead of Shark + Toad in the extra deck?
@@unluckylux7781You can slot in Crystal Heart but you need card that can special from hand, your boards will lock at Link-3 with wave instead of Link-4, You need at least 2 Marincess on hand that can special it self to extend to Link-4 with wave on hand, You need to Link Heart extend to Anemone, and youher to revive Heart than special summon any marincess to Link anemone to Link-3 for wave than Link-4, but once Icejade ran are in Master duel you get options to Syncro instead destroy/banished immune.
This is another reason why I love Novas videos, as they introduce me to archetypes that I either skipped over, or was just totally unaware of. As for the Archetype itself I'm pretty interested in but personaly whenever I try to use any deck with a water attribute centric cards I always loose! But if I can get these cards I'll still give them a try.
Something this could use in the future is some different extra deck types. Namely a fusion and a synchro monster. Not sure what the fusion would be like but for the synchro I see a minnow based girl as a tuner, then the synchro herself is a great white shark.
Use the white archetype
I was thinking the same or sort of going in that route. Like a fusion or another marincess monster but it gives atk boost to the marincess on the field. And also I was thinking of maybe adding a marincess card that while on the field marincess monsters can’t be targeted by card effects and an effect that says “ while on the field all marincess monsters can’t be used for the summoning off another monster not named marincess” or something to prevent niburu and goddess. It could be like a strong support monster. Gives 300 atk per link to every marincess monster and prevents marincess monsters from being used for substitution and etc.
I love using Marincess Circulation the way artwork shows us. Attack with Wonder Heart, special summon equipped Marincess and attack with it, swap Wonder Heart with Great Bubble Reef, if opponent still has monster, attack it with GBR, end the battle phase.
To make Zealantis even better: Swap out a Marincess boss for Zealantis, use its effect to clear out the board, then use Circulation to swap back in for another Marincess boss to swing for big damage
Well... Circulation prevents battle damage and can't attack directly 😅😅😅 but if you're able to destroy all monsters with one Link 4 Marincess at around 4400 attack then you cleared their board if theres only 4 monsters. Bubble Ring allows to attack monsters and circulation protects from battle destruction
Really looking forward to this one. I'm still practicing combos with them.
Good video and gotta say, enjoyed the puns far more than I'd like to admit lol 😆
4:20 Marincess Sea Horse: Back, in the VRAINS era, I used to be THE main starter of marincess combo. I am marincess sea horse (chorus: sea horse), don't act like you don't know
16:10 Is kinda ironic aqua argonaut resembles more blue angel than blue maiden when you think about it
Im a marincess player and im proud of it ive always wanted the deck and i finally got it and its the perfect build
Marincess are pretty fun, my current Masterduel deck is choice. A different type of fun from Altergeists, but still freshly fun. I love all her decks except for Trickstars…those suck noodles.
Trickstars are only really good for those meme clips where they get maxx c'd, and I love that for them.
I like to use abyss shark in Marincess. It and the monster it searches (silent angler) can either be used as additional link material or to summon stealth kragen
Silent angler, shark, bahamut shark and toad is still a viable options for marincess.
But i guess zealantis is actually your best boss monster for marincess
sea needle also a viable options
@@SamuelShiina
Link summon Coral Anemome and Crystal Heart and then Link into Zealantis (Assuming you have Battle Ocean and Coral, Waters special summon lock) you can banish all monsters and only bring back water monsters
I came for the info but stayed for the puns 😂
I approve of the use of Erithiya Sea music in the background
I was on this deck during eternal format and my personal favourite was argo. A towers that could negate spell and trap activations on top having a bounce and their own version of imperm did me super well against striker mine and some spright players. I’d probably pick the deck back up if I had mining and dive
Cynet Mining and Marincess Dive Makes the deck extend really Well and I mean REALLY WELL!!!
If you Activate Cynet Mining and have Pascalus in hand dump her search for Blue Tang Your literally setting up a massive combo board but it can be shut down once Dark Ruler No More slams the field once that happens your pretty much fucked unless you have Solemn Judgment Face down to negate it if not your gonna have to play around your graveyard but also be warned if they have Necrovalley hitting the field Marincess is Done
So you have no way of coming back from that game
because you cant target your graveyard due to Necrovalley effect and they have a full board to attack you for game
Problem was she doesn’t negate the card permanently or for the rest of the turn. She can’t negate on your turn and her bounce isn’t a quick effect. It’s still a huge miracle that she still ended up being good, despite all her damning flaws.
@@etherious_natsu_d2958 I know I just couldn’t find any copies so and I would play moray of greed to try and cycle for starters
@@arrownoir I know her negate wasn’t permanent but at least she could play through skill drain because of crystal heart
@@Aides1128 thats if you manage to Do the full combo before you get stopped mid way or so
But if they manage to activate Skill drain off the bat at the start the whole deck is done
scoop move on to round 2
I just picked up this deck thank you...Buff predaplants ⚡️
I'm sure many say they should be Aqua or something, but they honestly make me want a WATER Fairy archetype.
Loving the bgm !!
Can’t wait to super heavy samurai video
Marincess Crystal Heart is my favorite personally i also put in an odd yet effective tech Aquarium Stage since it gives the Number Rule to your water monsters making them harder to get over
Three of my friends use the deck and though I've never played against it its a really good deck form what I've seen
Have you have plans for a video talking about the cxyz non-numbers monsters and them arquetypes?
My favorite Marincess is definitely dive because...reasons.
My favorite Marincess monster is probably Argonaut. She can step on me or use me as a chair for sure.
What is that beautiful melody that you played during the time you talked about the Marincess monsters(I do mean all the Marincess monsters, by the way)?
Anenome is gorgeous and is the soul of the deck. My favorite of the Marincess roster
Ah yes, the water waifus. They, charmers witchcrafters are pretty much the only decks I play.
I put nemeses umbrella on my version, is that count?? Since we need some marincess effect again in case we got wipe and bubble reef only count the action banished so its not like deaiza effect
How about a AQUAACTRESS video? I know the archetype is small but guppy can get pretty strong and invincible
Eyyy the Xenoblade 3 ocean exploration bgm, good choice
I made a deck where i link then return the materal to the deck and then link again return the link into the extra deck to go on forever and made the other players rage
A toss up between Marbled rock and a trap card (love the chaotic energy the trap card art has); but if monster specific then Marbled rock... like her serious punk vibe.
Can my opponent activate another normal spell or trap if argonaut negates the activated effect
Sea Angel and Bubble Reef are my favorite :3
Can someone tell me what the background music is it sounds familiar
@GoldenNovaYugioh whats funny is you havent done a Cyber Dragon video Yet ?
*dies from puns*
Marincess best deck :)
Looking forward hopefully to the day where you'll get to review Stormrider and Armatos Legio. Gotta complete the set right? I mean, Konami won't hold out on us that long...
Omg!!! Am still waiting for those decks to come out and also for the g golem deck to be complete
let's g o, aqua vtuber archetype time
Can they attach the links? Or just the the effect moster?
Only the Marincess Link monsters 😅
Nooo. Don't tell them my secrets
Marincess are the Beauty of the Sea!
I can’t wait till we get Zealantis
Zealantis is already out in the TCG brother lmao
Marincess is my main deck
Marincess supremacy!
YES!!
Ritual Beast Time x)
The marinsussiest archetype and I love it :)
MarinSUS
Ok I have no idea how I messaged this guy about Marincess and somehow didn't think he made a video for it. I'm a bozo
xD
What the hell Vrains...
Gouki/Marincess/Altergeist/Ancient Warriors (I think)/etc.
That series honestly tried making a pro show for its characters.
Blue Maiden tho had some of the dirtiest losses; where story said no so she lost.
But still a chance for an Apolusa to be curb-stomped after it can't defend itself by a Link 4 of yours resulting in 3600LP direct dam off one card is absurd... even if unlikely.
God I hate this deck
Using it or duelling against it? I'm not high level enough player to understand many decks. I can still understand how to hate mystic mine though.
@@peanutsaber8837 I just hate the whole archetype as a whole if you truly want to boil it down then I hate the character that played it but overall I hate everything about it
Though I don't share your opinion, I can see where you're coming from. This archetype isn't for everyone, and it can definitely be annoying to face, and dull to play after a while. I can also definitely see why you dislike Skye/Blue Maiden.
@@Snom_on_a_BenchI love playing this deck honestly I used to be full harpie deck boy but ever since I found out about marincess like I just love the deck. I don’t even know how I discovered it but am so happy honestly. I haven’t played against someone using this deck in awhile but honestly I wouldn’t find it dull. For the past few days I have versed decks more annoying (labyrinth, yubel!!!!, kashitira, ) etc
Holy yeah
