The best version of The Great Pretender by a country mile. The Big O never fails to get me from 0 to floods in 60 seconds - he's like a friend who always knows how your pain feels and sums it up perfectly.
This song must have gone on to have a great deal of resonance for Roy with losing first his wife and then two sons in horrific circumstances. Yet he refused to get bitter and twisted, instead focusing on the positives of remarrying and having two more sons. Anyone who thinks a bad hand justifies bad behaviour should watch a documentary on him - they will soon think again!
