Where did you bought the two hoses?
Oil going into the intake are from positive crankcase ventilation. solution=catchcan. there are two ways to catch this blowby. one catches the oil under idle. the other catches oil under acceleration . 2 can setups catch all blowby protecting your intake valves completely
So the one catch can I have is for the acceleration I’m guessing? It’s located in the front of the engine bay near the fan/ mounted by the hood release?
unfortunately st owners are only showed the idle application because its an easy diy install. @@Michael_Carroll
That's the ccv side. Install a catch can back there and your good
@@Michael_Carroll All you NEED is a catch can that handles blow by at the PCV valve, that what most people will call the catch can in the "front". I had the same problem with my hose's, some have replaced the o-rings, I just replaced the whole hose like you did. They seem to fail around 90k miles.
Ccv is the rear, PCB is the front. Pcv is open at idle closed when on throttle. Pcv is where most of the gunk comes from. Easier way to tell the two apart, pcv non turbo side, ccv turbo side.
Milage at repair? Thanks! BTW are you the original owner?
No I am the second owner and 106,000
@@Michael_Carroll How many miles at big turbo install? Thanks
@@donaldcarner369 haven’t done big turbo yet was thinking about it soon… however I would like another car so I can take my time on the build
REPLACE YOUR PCV VALVE. I didn't and I'm feeling the consequences.
