I figured I didn't properly articulate the part about grease feeding the fungus that causes dandruff... someone just pointed that out. In all, just stay away from grease if you experience dandruff,it can worsen it. 💯
When I went natural 10 years ago, I just used oils as a sealant and my hair was constantly dry. After 3 years of that, I started using hair grease and used it for years…my hair loved it. Fast forward to 2023, I started using Shea butter instead, trying to use more natural products. My hair started shedding and I lost a significant amount of hair because it took me months to figure out it was caused by the Shea butter! Now I’m back to using hair grease, specifically Sulfur 8, Dax, Blue Magic and Virgin Hair Fertilizer. My hair is thriving again! Grease has never done me wrong, I’m never giving it up again! 😅
Water and glycerin mix + grease is why I was able to surpass my growth plateau. I was already protective styling for years, but I was struggling with hydration, single strand knots and split ends (i have high porosity hair). Now I love my hair again. Nothing seals like grease.
@@22dolxxxphin22 for the first part yes, and I would use it on my scalp and skin but only if I'm SUPER hydrated. For the 3 question no, I said if I can use it on skin I cam use it on scalp but not the other way round. Body wash would be fine to use on your scalp but will damage your hair with prolonged use, which is why shampoo is specific to hair.
@@deek5295 Its a random scarf I found in my mom's bag 😁. I get headaches from headband, but with the scarf,I have some control over how tight i want it to be. And,Thank you.
I never really used hair grease like that. The smell of Sulphur 8 used to make me feel sick as a child. So, growing up and finding hair independence, i stayed away from anything grease. Tried Blue Magic and the indian hemp one as an adult, and im 100% sure it was in my mind, but I couldn't shake that generator/petrol smell😂
Well ...i don't know what im doing wrong or probably my hair porosity but I use dax and its just causes massive build up on my scalp and my hair...its war on washdays ,gotta scratch the gunk on my scalp and the hair. Well, basically I'm not a fan.Trying to go back to my shea butter days.

I haven't tried grease as an adult, but I’m not against the idea. I'm really pleased with The Doux’s Dear Mama. My hair stays moisturized for the week, and the ingredients rinse easily from my hair, so I can use more moisturizing shampoos.
@natura__essie Ey.. Only God knows what happened between my people and yours 🤣😭 It gets rough hey! But anyways, I'm back greasing... It just makes sense... It seals in my moisture... 🤷🏾♀️... Grease is hairfood tho, on this side of the world... I took baby steps back into it... I would mix abit of my oils with some vaseline... And it worked wonders... Now, I've bought hairfood, and will mix it with my oil... Ofcourse after hydration... Grease is my sealant. Great vid once again.

@@22dolxxxphin22 good to know it helped you retain moisture, therefore length. 👏🏾
I use aquaphor to coat the strands of my daughters hair for protection
For me it's a simple as "if i wouldn't rub it on my face I'm not finna rub it on my scalp"🤷🏿 HOWEVER coating the ends is valid and permitted
So you never used Vaseline on your skin? And would you wash your face with shampoo?😂

@@easydrawcreations this is exactly why i said not to use on the scalp,
If it is not clogging the scalp or penetrating how does it now work? How do the scalp benefit from the ingredients in it?
