- How to Game Share on Xbox One? In this tutorial, I show you how to setup gameshare on Xbox One. Xbox One Game Share allows you to share games and Xbox Live Gold with friends and family for free. This all uses home Xbox which is a built-in feature on your Xbox One. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions while you game share on Xbox One in 2022.

Note: Setting up GAMESHARE on Xbox is legal and uses the built-in Xbox home feature. Only digital games can be shared through Xbox Game Share. Physical games on a disc cannot be shared through GameShare.
Follow the steps below to GAMESHARE on your Xbox One:
1. On the Xbox that doesn't have the games, login with the Xbox account that does have the game you want share.
2. Press the Xbox One guide button on your controller to open the menu. In the menu scroll right and select System.
3. Once in System, select Settings.
4. In the Settings under the General section, select Personalization.
5. Then select My home Xbox.
6. Once My home Xbox loads you can now set to add the Xbox as your Home Xbox or Remove the Xbox as your Home Xbox.
7. Now switch accounts on the Xbox One to the original account.
8. You can now go to the game section and download games.

so a second account that does not have Ultimate cannot download games? It must be downloaded/installed from the home xbox account first? Also it appears that Cloud gaming does not work with the second account.

So we did all of that and I'm able to play Battlefield 5 that my brother owns but I'm not able to play some of the maps he's downloaded.

@@anthonypaquette2375 I just use my main account and the games are on my lil bros acount. also alot of the time we play gta5 online (which he owns and i dont) and neither of us get booted off.
in theory no, not unless they make it their home xbox. i set my xbox as my lil bros "home xbox" so i can play all his games and he can still play his stuff at the same time.

So what happens when I want to buy a new digital game? Do I have to use one of the 5 My Home Xbox switches again? What Xbox should I purchase new games on going forward so they are available on both?
I would purchase it on my most used console and I'm pretty sure the purchase goes to the profile no matter what console you buy it on.

@@avionadamfab All game saves are based on the account. When you sign into your profile (If your brother is Brother1 then you are Brother2, for example) the games you play save just for that profile. It won’t impact his saves. Just make sure you don’t forget to change profiles.

It only works for digital games if it is a game that is used by disc this will not let you game share the game

Log into your friends account while still being logged into your account.Enter the game with your friends account,and once you're in the game just switch back to your account👍
PS.Stay logged in on your friends account,if you log out it will kick you out of the game

You have to keep the account that owns the game as the home xbox. The feature was originally intended to be used for families with multiple accounts on a singular xbox, the community has since been using it to gameshare instead.
