Definitely wasn’t a boring video that’s for sure 🤣 fun and games being a driver. You did well keeping calm down them tight roads
Don't worry about the weather in Ireland, Martyn. It only rains twice a week : Monday to Thursday and Friday to Sunday!
You are doing really well on these road 🛣️ videos Martyn and take care this week out on the road 😊
Excellent vlog as always Martyn, we’ve all made that sort of mistake! And as you said it was Friday the 13th! Keep up the good work and keep safe! 👍🙂🚛🚛
Hi Martyn, bet your glad to see the CPC work finished.Looking forward to seeing the Ireland trip, hope the weather is good for you.Best wishes as always to you and Claire, loving the vlogs keep them coming please.Stay safe and keep on truckin'.
After my lovely hubby passed away in the August (2019), I took my first long trip in the car to my step-daughter who lives in Staines (from Manchester) in the December. So started off, obviously it was dark at 6:00am. It was around 9:00ish that I got on the M40, and the sun was so bright, and like you, it was wet, so the glare was terrible. Anyway, after my trip and what not, I decided to treat myself to a pair of Rae Burn sunglasses anti-glare. My hubby, way back in the 60s, years before I ever met him, had been in the Army and he suffered from the glare as he was in one of the tank regiments, and drove them about. The Army issued him with Rae Burns, and he reckoned they were the best. So I decided to buy myself pair, and yep, brilliant. Does the job. Talking about the M6 toll. I follow another driver (Warrington based), and he's had to stop at the services on the toll, and apparently, lorry drivers get free toll charges if they buy a meal voucher (I think its around £3.00). So the services are free as is the toll charge, you just pay for the meal. The lorry driver I follow is "Life of Darren". He's very good. He used the toll just a couple of videos ago if you want to check up. You keep the voucher, and when you drive up to the toll booth barrier, you press the button and give them your voucher number, which is on the top right of the voucher. Beware though if you use them, they get very busy, a bit like the ones on the continent when you've tried to stop for the night. When heading towards Disley, you actually drove through this town when you dropped(?) a load at New Mills a couple of videos ago
i jenko i seen you on Friday 13th at new mills i was in the gold Iveco on the rounder bout i beep my horn to you great blog Gary from Crewe 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great video Martyn. You mentioned at the start about your mike cutting out. I reckon it had the anti waffling feature turned on 😂! You keep it up. Take care.
Warts and all, you show the good and bad of truck driving. Mind you John-O often travels down similar roads in the West Country.👍
Jenko: A great video: really enjoyed your efforts and a big thanks to Craig and letting you video the consignment. Have a good trip to Ireland. Take Care both.
Great video loved very min, Take care Dave, North Thailand,
Fair play for including the slight faux paus 😵🤐😂
Enniskillen and its lovely castle is on the way to Giants Causeway from Galway. As is Coleraine-Portstewert-Portrush. Or better known as the NW200. Just go around the roundabout the right way 😂😂 Wee Joey's Bar is a must too 😉 Other famous races enroute are, Cookstown, Armoy, Tandragee and Dundrod. Dunluce castle at sunset is amazing, as is Mussenden temple. If you're not feared of heights, the rope bridge at Carrick a rede would be good for a video. Going south from the causeway will be mostly motorway/dual carridgeway from Sprucefield. Maybe taking the scenic route down will be better. You will go through some lovely places. Armagh connects to some good roads in the south eventually. Or Banbridge down through Newry towards Ardee in the south.
A very good Tuesday evening to you all
Great video, Martyn. Love the longer format…
Great Vlog Martyn. Really enjoyed this one. Good to see how the reels are loaded and strapped. Have a safe one Buddy. 🚚
Another great vlog Martyn. Rather you than me on the narrow roads! Looking forward to the next one. All the best mate.
Great video. You was making my heart beat faster at the end. God knows how fast yours was beating.
Hi Jenko enjoyed the video again keep up the good work and stay safe mate
Another great vlog pal keep up the good work.. thought I seen you in Runcorn👍🏻👍🏻
Could have been much worse, imagine going down a lane at night and landing up in a canal. Great video by the way.
I love the fact that you show everyone your mistakes. I did a similar thing delivering to a sainsburys in Birmingham, I'd been there a few times before but I missed the turning to the service yard and ended up in the car park. It was very busy but I did get out without hitting anything. I felt like such a plonker. 😂
Great vlog as usual mate looking forward to seeing the next one safe journey
Nice One Martyn Hope You Have Put In Your SAT-NAV, Stay Safe Out There,
Welcome back mate nice to see you back l live in luton
Oh dear Martyn Going the wrong way gave me a smile.
Great video Martyn mate it can happen to anyone
Oh God Fri 13th sure you’d have to try reverse out of tight road.Well done.a.
awesome
That was a good move heading into Liverpool. Car indicating right and turns left 😆
When you mess up you proper mess up Jenko 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤
Have a great trip over the emerald Isle buddy. A mate of mine worked from the bradford depot and went to Germany on a 15 plate daf a few years back
Ya Martin if you were doing the ring of Kerry maybe with the brothers your looking at a full day just traveling from home over to Ireland and then down to the south west of Ireland. The ring of Kerry starts in a town called Killarney and then you go from there all the way around if the weather is on your side its breath taking and well worth the trip. and one of the towns Dingle is super nice and has the freshest sea food dishes down in Kerry as its right on the coast even the shops go across the road to get their fish for the day,
Opps the day was going so well.
For me, its now day 2, and you've just left Liverpool. As it switches to daylight, you're on the A6, and have already driven through Disley. You're heading towards New Mills (two different towns). Where you turned left at the lights, if you'd gone straight on (following the tipper lorry), you'd be heading towards Buxton (A6)☺. You came out on this road when you left the place you tipped at previously, heading towards Disley/Stockport
Loved the vlog Martyn as usual. I hate that as well when your driving and the sun is shining on wet roads. I finished my CPC on Monday so waiting for my card coming in. That was a very tight lane you came down at the end but hats off to you for handling it like a pro, you said you messed up we're all human. Take care.
I messed up coming back from Aberystwyth, I ignored my sat nav instead I followed signs for the A485 towards Tregaron as I was heading towards Lampeter the Sat nav wanted to take me down a B road well I ended up doing an extra 10 miles didn’t I by going through Tregaron. Wish I stuck to the A482 as I know that road like the back of my hand. Live and learn don’t you Mart. Great vlog as always buddy.
great vlog martin, i would have wanted clean pats uf i had done that.
Hi jenko great vlog mate shame you can't get the camera on the backcwall really liked that angle 😊
Hello martyn luton is my home town very rare to see you In this part of the country
Very Lucky with this delivery 🙏what if no Gate that you arrived was a bloody WALL OMG only reversing 🙈🙈🙈
👍👍👍 🚛
Best way into Liverpool docks use the M57 to the end then A5036, takes you straight to the port entrance
When I go to Disley I come from m62 junc 26, A626, B6101, carry through Marple, ignore the weight limits and the turn right into the mill to the weigh bridge. Never had any issues and often meet wagons coming from Disley that way
Come on Martin your King of the cock ups.You could never say any of your videos are boring. What is it about you truckers your cabs are like boudoirs. First Luke with blue now you with red. 😅😅 TOODLES.
Great content fella we all have days like that can I ask lights on dash red white and blue do you have link for them much appreciated
But for the grace of god my friend!! How many times I have done that kind of thing, especially when I was delivering seed to farms, nightmare!! And the roads get narrower and narrower. Ah well still here to tell the tale, but I don’t miss those trips.
Just off Sundon park Rd.....seatruck is now in the the old p&o...
Turn around go left and go into Seaforth then turn left toward p&o
hi Martyn, Have you changed the exposure? Very dark at night, only getting refection in windscreen, not even seeing your headlights. Daytime is darker than usual. The early with sun/rain and shiny roads. was fine, horrible for the eyes.
That’s the way I know Martin I’d have been scratching my head 🤔
Can a brother go with you to Ireland? Murphy’s Tubbercurry a great hotel on way to Galway.Hope this helps.Night for now will watch second half in morning thank
you.a.ok xx love to Claire.
Don't keep relying on a sat nav
I think Mrs Jenko should be left to do the trucking, and you stay home and play with your chopper!
Der me what's a CPC Jenko 😂😂😂😂😂❤
Just going into Luton is bad enough on its own, don’t worry about Friday the 13th
How much is the cps these day
defenition of Friday The 13 whatever Can go wrong WILL
Martyn, where's the content? I invest my time following you to a gate, then you cut straight leave the gate, with no concept of what your carrying (weight wise) & even the time.
I did record the whole thing but the time was dragging on as I was waiting about 20 mins plus I can't record in there apart from inside the cab. Sorry to disappoint buddy 🤷
