Went there two years ago just on a vacation (drove-CA plates). Most unfriendly people I’ve ever encountered. Stopped at a gas station in Meridian, told to “go back where you came from”. Got flipped the bird on the road a couple of times. One guy actually rolled down his window and was yelling something. I couldn’t quite hear, and was too scared to rolled down my window. Very scary and a place I will never go back to. You can all have your angry culture.
In California, the speed limit is actually the minimum speed.

I live in california and I’m conservative. It sucks here. I’m 17 and I feel like all kids my age are so brainwashed and too obsessed with their sexuality. I wanna move to Idaho 😢😢😢

No. Californians aren't wanted anywhere. Not for political reasons, but for creating housing crises and rent inflation wherever they move to. The New York Times published an article called, "The Californians are Coming. So is their Housing Crisis." So many Californians moved to Ketchum, Idaho that the city had to consider allowing a tent city- not for the indigent but local workers. The people in the states you move to don't make as much as you. Local workers can't compete with California money for housing and can't afford the sky high rents Californians always bring in their wake. I call what's happening "Califest Destiny." It's no different than Manifest Destiny. You are forcing locals out of their hometowns all over the West. If you keep it up, everywhere will be as expensive as California. Worse, this trend has fed a national housing crisis. The national housing crisis is driving current inflation. I have friend in Portland, Oregon and I know how greedy Californians made Portland an expensive mess.

@@kignacio I don't hate Californians, I dated one. I hate greedy, lazy people who are think houses were built to make them rich instead of shelter designed to keep people safe from the elements. This real estate gold rush is generating homelessness in areas that have real winters. To impose failed policy, in areas that don't have California's climate, is going to hurt people. IMHO, if these people leaving Cali and moving to Idaho have enough money to buy up most of Idaho.. and Texas, Colorado, Arizona etc., then they have enough money to fix their own state. Regardless, I'm not going to listen to a bunch of rich Silicon Valley yuppies play like their a victim. You don't even see people on Wall Street pull that stunt, the worst of the worst in New York look like hippies compared to you.

Idahoans have never wanted
Californians in Idaho for as long as I can remember.
California cops are busy with serious crime calls, 99% of the time Idaho cops aren’t, they’re available to hand out speeding tickets in bulk. A few $100 dollar tickets and/or a lost license has taken away the need to speed, for most.
I hate speeders. Same as drunk drivers really. They’re not concerned about the safety of others.

I respect all people, but I must say that Californians are not welcome here. It’s not that we have anything against you personally, but rather the “change” you bring with you. There is a reason why Idaho has remained one of the best places to live over the decades.
I’m really sorry but I live in Idaho and I’m from a Washington my family moved here because they did not like the politics in Washington and I get bullied so much for where I am and they hate people from places like Washington, California, and “liberal “ states.
It's bitter cold in the winter.
It's hotter than Hades in the summer.
Everything is huge in Idaho - the bugs, the wolves, and the Dust Storms.

@@justrandomuseronyoutube8621 You are right about that. I'm originally from Ohio and moved out to Idaho over a decade ago to be with my boyfriend. The area grew on me. I knew some people from Oregon and they hated Californians. They warned me those people long ago that the Cali folks use the cash they make selling an expensive Cali home to buy up homes in other states. A house there costs around a million so they have a huge budget to work with. My Oregon friends said Californians made Oregon too expensive. BTW, people are also fleeing Oregon because Cali people drove up the cost of housing there to California levels. Even people from Idaho warned me about, "California businessmen." Idaho is now a expensive, homes sell in Coeur d' Alene now for 8 million dollars. It's insane. I had to bail and move back to Ohio. Now I see Californians here. I know why they are here. It spells doom for any eastern state just as much as it does for any western state. The best you can do, is do what locals in Idaho do- only sell to and buy from locals. Do not do business with Californians. Since these people are apt to convert homes in other states into rentals or Airbnbs, only rent from locals. Tell all your friends to do the same. Otherwise, your state will go the way of Oregon and Idaho.
Remote work is the culprit of 60% of the home price surge according to Bloomberg News. Remote workers are leaving the largest, most expensive cities. They have the income required to live in places like NYC and California and have discovered they can gobble houses like candy in other cities. This is driving up home prices and rents. High rent prices are 70% of what is driving inflation now. People should only sell and rent to locals if they are tired of it. This is the only way to solve the problems I've described here. I moved to Idaho a couple of years ago, and I can say that all of this is bogus. They don't drive the speed limit. They drive 10-15 miles above the speed limit.
I left Idaho after a year of living there. It is oversaturated with people. Their infrastructure was not designed to fit that many people in it. They're horrible drivers as well. Winters are mild (in my opinion, compared to where I live now), and Summers are excruciatingly unbearable. It is basically California. This is why Californians are moving there. Natives don't realize that they are really just Californias who try real hard not to be like Californians.
i grew up in boise lived here my whole life no we do drive the speed limit the people speeding are not from here. we hate speeders actually.
@@clbaker24 Every one I worked with were natives and consistently speed. I drove 300 miles per week and observed that only 10% of drivers drive the limit. Ninety percent of drivers cannot all be from out of state. But I believe you are an exception.
We aren’t Californians nor do we act like Californians if you live in a smaller town over here it’s lovely and we certainly have some good drivers but I will admit that I’ll be on a road going 65 and the person in front of me is going 56

I have a feeling these are paid actors because I’ve been there and the family members I have who lived there were met with a guy who everyday rode his bike past my nieces driveway and spit chewing gum on it. So her boyfriend at the time asked the apartment building manager what’s wrong with that guy? Building manager giggled then asked have you replaced your California license plates yet?

Just so you Californians know. In Idaho everything is amplified. This means fence breaking wind storms, below freezing temperatures all winter, low hundreds for all of July and august, and on top of that nats. Stay tf away if you can’t handle that and stay farther if your coming here to vote blue.

I was born in Long Beach but grew up in Arizona, I wa slicing in Hawaii when Covid happened and I had to come back to OC, this has been the worst place I have ever lived and I was born here. The drug addicts, the homeless, the illegals have more rights than I do and so do the homeless and thieves and gang members. While I have to work two jobs to make sure they get there money for free food and free crack pipes and needles. I wasn’t a political person until I got dropped off in Iraq, oops I’m meant LA

You must make a living from selling real estate. I don't know where those people live, but I'm calling BS. Long time Idaho residents are tired of the massive invasion of people. The traffic is much like larger urban cities. The people speed, run red lights and stop signs; the road rage is increasing. The newbies are bringing their PTSD from where they came and creating divisiveness like I have never seen. This is total Baloney Sandwich.
Sure they do peppermint patty ur in a fairytale look I was there a month and I seen five accidents the month I was there now either they all ate a bad batch of Idaho fries and something was in the potatoes or you don’t go out your house only to gym and the coffee house cause they all were going faster than 35 miles per hour so save this story
50-75 percent of the transplants are San Francisco/Oakland. Its ranked 29th in u.s. economy/gdp vs our other 52 states, and its ranked 39th in population. Great mormon churches, good national guard bases, surrounded by mountains, beautiful ranches and good hunting. Pro life state strict abortion ban modeled after Texas overturnment of roe vs wade. Cowboys and bsu football have a strong recruiting relationship history. It's economy gained 100,000 only in growth this year where Texas has 3 trillion. Negative it is judicial attached to 9th district Supreme Court of California.

Everyone drives the speed limit? Not sure theses real-estate agents are from Idaho... I'm a native and that's why I live in the country. That's where you get neighbors help. In the city which I have several family members that live there I'm born and raised people used to talk to their neighbors. That doesn't really happen anymore. The places that do have neighbors that talk generally our neighborhoods that are comprised primarily of Californians trying to go out and meet people who happen to meet other Californians trying to do the same thing. so anymore there's resentment towards over valuation of theses home prices by people born and raised here never wanting to leave because it's our home. Now most all of us can't afford a home... and the reason is they're being sold way WAY over market value both in the historical sense and nationally per median income. People sell their homes come up here pay way to much and in cash and locals don't stand a chance. That's the truth from someone whose been here almost 40 years. The funny think is the people buying their homes in cash think they're getting a steal of a deal . But don't make the mistake of comparing the two places and thinking you're getting a good deal.. you're not and it's screwing all of us and perpetuating this bubble... you should have been able to sell that house for cash came up here and bought the home you're in for maybe $300,000 but you're not paying $780,000 for and still had three to four hundred thousand in your pocket. That's what y'all don't understand.

Rent went from 400 to 1600, our schools have 30 kids per class,used to be 20 max, our fish and game is getting decimated by novice idiots, the crime has gone up, oh did I mention the graffiti, prices of taxes have tripled,dont get me started with agriculture water prices, and to top it off the blue hairs demand we waver to their stupidity. LOL, remote work has enabled massive white flight from the coastal cities. Remote workers account for 60% of the cause of the national housing crisis. They seem to have the money to buy all the homes in Idaho, and oddly zero funds to help the poor in their own state. Funny, that. That "blue state" on the coast is as racist as any of the red states I've been to. It's easy to talk a good game and use the correct words, it's another thing to give away your precious cash to help the poor. I think any brother would prefer cash to being called, "African American." Just a hunch.
I looking into moving to Idaho from california. Tired of the high taxes here. The only thing i worry about in Idaho is the guns and they dont accept the LGBTQ community. But dont worry we will all move here and get some socialists in office to change the culture!!
