Like you, I've just started this self-discovery journey and honestly don't know who I really am under this 59-yo mask. I remember so much of my childhood that 'ticks all the boxes' but also remember being so desperate to try to fit in that I realised from a very young age that I needed to hide the real me. Now I'm trying to find her, but I'm not altogether sure if she'll come out into the sunshine again.
Good luck to you on your journey. Be well. I'll be cheering you on. ❤

Thank you ❤️ you have summed up beautifully something I feel too, that I'm not sure I'll be able to truly reveal my true self either but I want to try. Sending you lots of luck for your journey too, I feel it's definitely a path worth walking.

You made me think about my kids and what is going on with them, I can see myself in so many things and that is very good because that makes it easier to understand them and what they experience. This is so complex and when you start thinking about these things on a deeper level you also realise that you always learn and that it's different for everyone. I want my children to learn about Neurodivergence because that's what I needed when I was a child and I was having a really difficult time with my emotions and thoughts. I would have understood myself so much better and I wouldn't be as hard on myself if someone would tell me about Neurodivergence.

You've hit the nail on the head for me about helping my kids understand their neurodivergence. I want them to be more accepting of themselves and understand that they are doing nothing wrong. Thank you so much for sharing, this has helped me.
