I bought my K530 some months ago and this is what I can say (Disclaimer: I haven’t tried it with Bluetooth since I don’t have a dongle to connect it to my PC, sorry for that, I’ve heard it’s pretty nice from other reviewers) About build quality, the case is solid, not flimsy at all but if you seek ultra premium case quality for some reason this is not the one for you, for the price and feel I’m very very pleased with it. About the RGB and software, the software is bad, it is usable to assign RGB to the keyboard and I haven’t had the need to assign macros since I don’t use them (and If you need macros I suggest you look somewhere else for a designated keyboard with them), anyway, the RGB on the keyboard is good. Yes, it’s not as bright but if you sit on a slightly shaded workspace it looks amazing, another bad thing is the accuracy between the color picker and the colors displayed is kinda off, so you’ll have to experiment if you want to find some specific colors, pastel colors and very light colors are bad on this board, I mainly use a very vibrant light blue and an orangish yellow and they look very nice. About the switches, in all honesty I haven’t tried cherry switches but these are very tactile and feel great when typing, the sound these make when typing is very nice. About the metallic pinging, it is present, and if you look for it you’ll find, it may be a deal breaker for some but if you’re typing you’ll only hear it when you hit the last key. It may get a little annoying but for gaming or using while listening to music, it works well and I don’t notice it (Believe me, you won’t too, you’ll be concentrated on the game) About the stabilizers, I found them to be pretty nice, I lubed, clipped and bandaid modded them and now they feel amazing. Trust me, it makes a world of difference. Right out of the box they feel good and sound nice. About the extra, the switches they provided are a very nice touch, I switched (haha) my spacebar’s switch to a black switch and I like it better, you can mix and match to certain keys if you would like them to feel different and it also gives you a taste of what switches you could prefer in the future if you order more to switch (haha) it up In conclusion, this is a very nice beginner board, it is very solid, it feels good, and the only possible lacking aspect about the sound could be the faint pinging of the switches. I would definitely recommend this to somebody who is getting his first mechanical keyboard, it has its downsides and flaws but it’s in the end, it does it’s job very very nicely. But If you have a bit more money to spend I would look for another board, if you have the possibility of saving a bit more money to invest in a better keyboard I would do it. I enjoy mine a lot as my daily driver. Thanks for reading! EDIT: You can assign Per Key lighting through the software and the “Coastal” rgb aspect
Love the keyboard so far, its great for my current use. You can change the backlight colour and lighting scheme by pressing FN2 and 8,9,0 keys etc to change if you want single colour scheme etc.
Hi guys! Glad you found this comment. I have the white k530 (hot swappable, outemu brown) and the ctrl win alt keys on the left aren’t working. Please helpppp
I got in touch with their customer support and I got this bullshit: “Apologies for the late response. Per checking, The K530 has about 1 ms latency for both wired and Bluetooth connectivity.” So they’ve broken the low latency world record for Bluetooth and they’re not even bragging about it… sure…
Is the Kemove 61 still your daily driver? I love mine, and for $20 more than this one seems a far better deal with better switch options, similar battery life (in my experience) and better stock keycaps.
It's not my daily driver, because I am reviewing too many keyboards these days, otherwise yes it would be haha! I've recently tested the GK68XS, Durgod Fusion, Anne Pro 2 with Alu case, Anne Pro 2 with Wooden case, etc. I try to test them for at least a week to know the keyboard well for the review, so I rarely switch back to a daily driver.
I also believe the Kemove is a much better keyboard, I would personally invest $20 more to get it for the Gateron hot-swap sockets (compatible with all switches, not just Outemus), better configuration, better case, better keycaps, etc.
I would suggest getting the k630 i have it and its amazing for the price it sounds good looks good and has benfit that make it better than that keyboard.
I emailed a few with them. They said the PcB is BK. Im assuming bk61 since thats the key count. I like the case, slimmer than most even at 3000 mah. Only BT 5.0 but most motherboards come with 5.0 anyways
The worst thing in this keyboard is metalic thump its making after smashing the button, It reverbs soo much in this case that Im forced to buy some mats to put inside the case to cancel some noise.
Has anyone had a problem such that, it does not detect the keyboard in bluetooth. When you plug it into the computer the buttons didn't work, the keyboard worked for a few days.
How can we get the arrow keys to work like fast forward like they would with a mac keyboard..? my daughter wants to use those arrow keys with her mac and they don't work like they normally would..?
Hey! I have a question. How can I know what type of switch is the on/off switch?. I have to replace it because it broke but I don't know what model it is to order it online and fix it. Thanks in advance!
Hey would you recommend this keyboard over the gk61x? I’m having issues finding reviews of the gk61x not sure what’s the difference between the gk61 and the red dragon.
Does anyone knows if I can change the keys on layer 2? I want to invert the Esc key to: Esc = `~ Fn2 + Esc = Esc Using their software I was able to do the first part. But I cannot find a way to change the key binding in the second layer(using Fn2).
im on a Mac and I have the white model and im having a hard time figuring out ow to change the less and I've tried what you said and what the comments said and I got nothin
hey i recently bought this keyboard and i play on xbox and when i press the 4 or 5 key it starts to press a bunch of random buttons and types random letters like “jhgmjjh-444tga” and stuff like that and i was wondering what i can do
No I didn't, was able to remove the battery from the bottom of the case, and couldn't read anything from it 😞 From redragon's website, it has a 3000 mAh battery, so quite beefy considering the Anne Pro 2's is 1900
You mean dedicated arrow keys ? Keeping the 60% format, I'd say the GK64XS looks very promising! If you can move to a 65% format, then there's a bunch of great options 🙃

FYI it is possible to have individual key colors. You have to use the coastal color scheme and it gives you the ability to change colors of each key.
You can with their software.
OMGG Im so thankful ur alive I know how to change the color now
that look from the cat while testing the keyboard x))
The magic/tap functions of the Anne Pro 2 are great. So great that I replicated them in my custom build. Great review as always.
Hey thanks! Yeah it's a really unique feature they introduced back then with the Anne Pro 2!

This was a great review that I found very helpful with my new 60% keyboard purchase! PS: Like the funny cameo appearance your cat made in the video.
your kitten is very cute!
This is a cool review… Maybe I will buy this keyboard 👍🏽
when i go my red dragon k530 I used it for gaming it is really good and has very good noise and not to loud i say you should get it
Nice! I'm planning on adding this to the collection, being my first 60%, unless you count the gk64 as 60%
Cool! I count the GK64 as a 60% personally 😅

since it is Bluetooth, what is the latency like? For someone who notices the smallest difference, I'm afraid that the latency will bother me.
