do you have to press fn+enter everytime you play a game to turn off arrow keys? because mines like resetting to the secondary things and idk how to fix it

gerard i bought it with red switches, and it looks great with the glorious model o (and a set of hyper x pudding pbt keycaps. They look and feel a lot better).
ive bought the black model with only one colors led and mine is usb-c , tbh the keyboard still holding perfectly and working like a brand new one a year later
Got the RK61 with Red Switches just about a month ago. I'm surprised how good this is for gaming. There's a very slight delay but it's very tolerable. I do a lot of FPS gaming (Rainbow Six Siege and Division 2) and it's nice. The battery lasts long as well as long as you keep the lights turned off.
Thank you so much for specifically mentioning how the white looked. Many RGB products skew far too warm or far too cold on white for my liking. The white on this seemed pretty neutral!
Update: I got it, and the white on my unit is super warm. Like incandescent yellow warm. A little disappointing, but if you download the software to customize the RGB, you could probably get it much more neutral. I don't need/want another RGB program on my computer eating up resources, so that's a no go for me unfortunately.
Been using this since 2 years ago, nice small keyboard which need getting used to if you are from a full size keyboard, especially the arrow keys. Still sometimes accidentally change the keyboard layout with fn key and ctrl key, due some symbols you will need the combination key of shift and the fn keys, and I sometime accidentally pressed ctrl key. Not sure about others, but my unit bluetooth sometime seems wobbly, it gets connected smoothly nonetheless, but sometime when it will repeat the key that I pressed, its annoying so been using the wired mode ever since. after 2 years of normal home usage, some keys are showing some problems, like when u pressed and nothng show up, you need to try again harder. might need to change the switches. other then that its quite a nice keyboard, after all its my 1st mechanical keyboard. And its cheap too when I bought it.
so... i am confused between MK61 AND RK61 tell me your long review! i am going to mod it by adding akko rose reds and durock stabs and lube them with krytox 2o5g0 and GPL 105 for springs! and I am not changing the keycaps! so please tell me your honest opinion for 2 years long review whats more worth it!
my rk61 arrived yesterday and i got it for $37 although i waited for a month before i laid my hands on it. the variant i own has a usb-c. the rgb lights are superb for the price. the keycaps are okay. i placed o-rings and it actually lessened the pingy sound. the stabilizers were surprisingly okay although the ones under the left shift key need s some band aiding. overall, it was a great purchase. I'm looking forward to changing it's keycaps to pudding ones.
@@maybee3317 unfortunately, u can hear that the switches are at least tactile if not linear by listening to the other switches of the alfanumetic keys that don’t have stabilisers, it’s just naturally crunchy lol
If you're OK with a slightly larger form-factor and appreciate actual arrow keys, the RK71 is pretty much the same except it doesn't have some of the shortcomings highlighted here: it comes with magnetic kickstands to raise the angle and USB-C.

I bought the hyper x pudding keycaps, and theyre great. Definitely put them on the keyboard (make sure you match the color of the keycaps with the color of the board [duh])
I have the RK61 in white with blue leds. It's great, but the blue switches are super loud and annoy everyone. There is noticeable key wobble. The bluetooth works great (no real noticeable latency) and the battery life is very good. It's my first mechanical keyboard, and it's totally worth it for a first board, but definitely try to get red, or brown switches. It has a lot to offer for the price, although if you have the money go for a anne pro 2 or ducky one 2 mini, or gk61. Try to get the RK61 at the lowest price possible, it's definitely worth it for an entry level mechanical keyboard.
I've had this one before with Kailh white box switches which served me well but then i lost when transporting it, just ordered another one but with red switches this time. Really really good keyboard.
I bought the german layout version, which is significantly improved over my first ANSI version a year ago. First of all, the keycaps are very nice and solid doubleshot-pbt, which feel much better then the normal ABS on the other revisions. It's also noticably heavier then the ANSI versions, but I have yet to weight it. The switches are Outemu browns and the USB connector is USB type-C. They also threw in some tricked out stabilizers, which feel more precise and rigid without any wobble at all. Mind that it's also alot more expensive then the ANSI layout version (i paid 60 eu).
This was my first mech and I have used it for well over a year. I am now using the Epomaker GK68XS and the dedicated arrow keys are a must. If BT doesnt matter for you, consider an SK64 with dedicated arrow keys, but you are limited to optical switches.

Anne pro 2 retails for like 80-100$, the RK61 can be found for 35-50$ on banggood, on amazon I got it for 55$ during a lightning deal with red switches. For the price, the anne pro 2 better be good lol. One must understand the RK61 is a budget oriented keyboard.
Zealous Pumpkin i got my anne pro 2 a week ago and i love it. The stabs are much nicer on the ap2 and imo gateron reds feel smoother and less scratchy than cherry mx reds/outemu/kahlih. i got mine for about $70
The Royal Kludge boards can be programmed, both LEDs and key assignments. I haven't played with the key reassignment yet, but I believe you can use function layers as well.
I would recommend Akko ( epomaker.com/products/akko-3084-silent-bluetooth-5-0 // epomaker.com/products/akko-3068-silent-bluetooth-5-0 ) over this one since they are better in everything they can offer in a budget price range: Bluetooth, PBT keycaps, Backlighting, not to mention they have new version of Gateron switch that designed exclusively for Akko so they are better than the old Gateron.

I have it as well. It's basically a gk61 with a better box opening experience. I have gateron reds on mine lubed up and the stabilizers greased up too. It's honestly great for 50 bucks but it has its compromises for sure like the shit software that it has. It's not as bad as the gk61 software according to other users i've asked but its still bad in my experience.

For people who have not bought this keyboard yet. You should probably know that you may get different types of switches. For example I got content switches and some people got theirs with kailhs. In this case it was RK switches.

@@NottheRiver After a couple of days now I'm actually not very happy with this keyboard. I've seen several versions of people demonstrating the RK61 and some come with Outemu, Kailh and Gateron switches, the verison I have the switches are just branded RK and when you press them down they wiggle a lot and if you play games with a lot of pressure it just feels strange. I have a GK61 keyboard with Gateron switches and they do not wiggle at all like the RK switches. It's still a great keyboard and the RGB is great but if you play games a lot then I recommened getting a verison of the RK with either branded switches or opting instead for the GK61. Hope this is useful.

There is a version for $64 that has usb type c, gateron switches, stabs that are miles better, as well as coming in nicer packaging. This option is available on amazon.
Other good budget options are Asceny one and the DK61 from Dierya/Kemove. Gateron opticals hotswappable, Type C , 60% , Red/brown/blue options , RGB, doubleshot PBT keycaps.
Yes, you can, but make sure to buy a 60% layout key cap set. And if you’re going to buy replacement key caps, you might as well get pbt because they’re higher quality and would be a noticeable upgrade

I got this yesterday and I feel amazed by it.
For the newer versions of the rk61 you have to do fn + enter instead of fn + shift for switching the arrow keys for some reason. Mine uses fn + enter

Imo the RK 61 is alright for playing competetively. Switches are nice, sound is not needed and no one needs to repgrogram the arrow keys in their game

Hey, nice video but quick question. Can you take out the switches? I really want a 60% keyboard for cheap and this is the best one and I also really want to lube the switches

@@NottheRiver After a couple of days now I'm actually not very happy with this keyboard. I've seen several versions of people demonstrating the RK61 and some come with Outemu, Kailh and Gateron switches, the verison I have the switches are just branded RK and when you press them down they wiggle a lot and if you play games with a lot of pressure it just feels strange. I have a GK61 keyboard with Gateron switches and they do not wiggle at all like the RK switches. It's still a great keyboard and the RGB is great but if you play games a lot then I recommened getting a verison of the RK with either branded switches or opting instead for the GK61. Hope this is useful.

There is a version for $64 that has usb type c, gateron switches, stabs that are miles better, as well as coming in nicer packaging. This option is available on amazon.

BTW, these keyboards may take up to 4 weeks to arrive, as its coming from an asian website.
Other good budget options are Asceny one and the DK61 from Dierya/Kemove. Gateron opticals hotswappable, Type C , 60% , Red/brown/blue options , RGB, doubleshot PBT keycaps.

Yes, you can, but make sure to buy a 60% layout key cap set. And if you’re going to buy replacement key caps, you might as well get pbt because they’re higher quality and would be a noticeable upgrade
