I’ve literally never seen a video of Felix’s before, or any with him in it, but i now understand why everyone loves him. He’s very charming and funny, and still seems to have a good head on him.

I love how Felix is now just another member of the gang doing collabs together in Japan. He’s still humble, he isn’t really doing his own videos right now. But he’ll still show up for a bro.
Man living his best life. He's made his money, he's taken his lumps. I was never a fan, but he seems a good chap and I always love seeing good people enjoying their lives.
His wife recently had a kid, so that is propably the reason why he took a step back and did less videos.

Fun fact: the crab "brain" is not brain at all. The crab's actual brain is incredibly tiny. All that brown stuff is actually an organ called the "hepatopancreas" and it functions sort of like the pancreas/liver in mammals. It secretes digestive enzymes and helps with the absorption of food. So, really, it's more like eating crab liver!
Americans may know this better as "mustard", a colloquial term for this organ and the other guts of the crab based on the yellow-ish color

@@joshn1678 Im sure a lot of TH-camrs are stressed living off patreons and what not because youtube still pays them but not like they were supposed to and Felix was like the biggest TH-camr for a long time so I'm sure he's noticed.
Now he has so much backlog content that he probably could coast for a long while and make little vlog type videos here and there and be fine for years .
I'm glad he's gotten to live a more relaxed life now especially seeing him and marzia are a family

To be honest, some sushi is really chewy to the point that I find it bizarre it's even a thing. Why eat it when you can't even chew threw it and barely taste it? I mean, you might as well just swallow some greased up leather. XD
I'm with him on squid in particular. Alot of fish Japanese people love raw I prefer cooked. Thankfully there's hundreds upon hundreds of species to choose from lol

“tightened” is called “shime-ru” in Japanese🍣

Felix probably tasting the rice when he said sweet. You kinda just block out the flavor of rice if you eat it too much, which is the case in most Asian. I did remove rice in my diet for a month and after being advised to up my carb intake, I ate rice and it tasted sweeter than before.

One thing that always shocks me about these videos is people talking about how expensive stuff is in Japan. The eel being 715 yen was shocking to them, but like in America in Medium COL area (for food at least), it's $7 for 2 Salmon nigiri, and $8 for 2 eel nigiri. Its so crazy how much cheaper stuff seems in Japan.
17:17 this is actually a common situation.. for me, after I ate something sour, food that's supposed to be sweet become so bitter that my tongue felt so dry.
