I don't think any other roles aside from the AF and Poacher can score you goal or meaningfully contribute to build up play. In fact, using the False 9 is what truly plays like a poacher and like you showed in this analysis the poacher plays more like a false 9. What is however strange is that the AI sometimes pulls it off especially when using the deep lying forward, a role that has been next to useless for me since FM 17. I guess it's a case of do I say not as I do for FM match engine.

This was more than interesting, also it's one of the most beautiful tactics in terms of movement and combination I ever saw in fm21 Might I suggest a Sarri 2017/18 tactical breakdown? As this was one of the most beautiful football I ever watched in reallife?
I wonder if the pressing forward works better? Pressing forward attack kinda has elements of dlf and advanced forward. Best way I've had of recreating a Pep tactic with City is pressing forward attack, right side att mid on IW attack, left side att forward on IF support, right CM on CM attack, left CM on BBM, DM on DM support, right fb on IWB defend, left fb on FB support, 2 CB's defend and gk on sweeper defend. If you have the mentality on attack then the IWB will still go forward occassionally even if you have them set on defend and having team mentality on positive will have them hold position more so. I too found the dlf to suit more to link play together but it's frustrating where they stay static and don't act intuitively to where the ball is on the pitch. The fb's will always be tough to recreate for a Pep tactic as they're so fluid and the pressing is impossible as FM codes the players to go back to positions so the IWB's don't press from centre of the pitch and just go back to the fb position instead and so it's hard to recreate that constant pressure off the ball which is integral to Pep's style

In terms of players they don't need to be a certain standard, they just need to be good enough in relation to the division. Pace & Acceleration for the wide players, RCB & RB are important. How fast is relevant to your league. Central midfielders the first 3 things I look at are acceleration, dribbling & passing. The rest are pretty much what you would normally look for in their roles.
@@Naija4ever Not specifically they learn the postition and role they play in after a while I believe but I could be wrong! Putting it to the specific role shouldn't hurt although I'd check FM Scouts latest training videos to see what they recommend !

No what you see is all there is in terms of Pi's. Where one role and duty is shown it's the same for both the left and right side.
