Shortround's response of feeling betrayed when Indy hit him is heartbreaking. It can be hurtful when one is betrayed. But thankfully, Indy went back to normal.
Thanks to Shortround!
@@Eddie-j3s6e he didn't save Indy to escape Pankot, he saved him, because Indy was his friend.
@@sebastiancribbs6985 I have always known that! I rather enjoyed the 'Short Round' character very much. In fact 'The Temple of Doom' is my favorite movie of the franchise mainly & probably because it was the first of the trilogy I saw at the world premier! It was a roller coaster of a ride!😁
That is what I’ve been thinking the same. Both Indy and Shortround highly deserves to be a great companionship. 👏👏👏
Yh thank god he went back to normal, cause imagine if Indiana Jones stayed under the grasp of Kali Ma, god that would been a ‘Turning Of Events’ and him ‘Staying Evil’ would off Prevented the ‘Other Movies’ from happening and the ‘franchise’ would of been ‘Based Around’ Kali Ma and stuff.

0:29 "Nab him, don't let the kid get away!"
As much that this was a scary scene for me to watch I still found it fascinating as I love hypnosis in movies and this was the first time I ever saw hypnosis in a movie
WAKE UP INDIE
This movie looks better than 99.9% of films today. The power of lighting and atmosphere.
You're just old and upset that the further you get from your youth, the less you understand and resonate with what's in the zeitgeist
This is 80s shlock that yall slurped up because there was nothing better to watch. Yall would sat down to watch paint dry and yall would have been entertained
@@Hoopergames I'm 27 so idk how illuminating your "old" comment is. If Indiana Jones is 80s shlock, then I guess I like 80s shlock. Maybe watching 15 second Tik Toks (with a few tabs of kinetic sand open on the side) tailor made for hyperactive zoomers is more your speed. Go ahead, enjoy what you like. Zeitgeist =/= good unless you are a follower without a single independent thought, like yourself.
Not the greatest out of the series, but it’s definitely better than the dial of destiny which I have not seen yet and I already know it’s terrible
@davidbreen6335 Wrong, Temple is easily the greatest. Dial is objectively at 3rd place, don't lie to yourself. Kingdom remains the absolute bottom of the list.
Mola Ram: 0:29, (Speaks in Hindi)
I can't understand a word on what he's saying!
Short Round's the real hero of Temple of Doom.

Wait that big thug got burned too, did he snap out of it?
'Indy' tossed him in the pit! Too bad for him!
Still don’t have an explanation for how Indy wakes up? Why does he wake up when he got hurt by fire?
You would wake up to lol!
@@Eddie-j3s6e lol. I just wanted an explanation for how the trance works
@@Leo-gm2tv The excruciating pain woke his ass up from being burned & so close to his nuts!
Technically there is no given explanation in the movie, we just have to assume it’s an act of desperation on the part of Short Round trying to protect himself.
That being said, the original screenplay had a deleted scene which showed Short Round seeing a guard get burned and then wake up from the black sleep. Short Round helped the guard put the fire out, the guard in his woken state thanked him, and then the other guards dragged him away to go under the sleep again while he protested. Short Round then found out that burning people could snap them out of the trance. So if that’s still canon, that’s the reason.
Here is your explanation ... back in the mine a guard gets burnt with some spewed lava out of a fissure , short round then sees the guard snap out of the evil spell from the burn, but this was edited from the film .
Why did the Thuggee insist on taking Indy's shirt off? I have no idea. But god bless them, seriously.
Since this villain is speaking Hindi at 0:29, what's he saying?
What is the name of that blunt force weapon the thuggee hits Indy with around 1:28?
I think it's called a Wala club.
An ancient weapon used in India.
I could be wrong, but that's what I heard.
Wow, how awesome and fascinating. I don't mean the thuggee character's intent to use it for murderous purposes, of course. But just I always find weapons from ancient cultures like Ancient India itself fascinating. Thank you for sharing that information.

Well then, you and I have something in common.
I've been fascinated with Indian culture since I was a kid.
Especially the legendary Rajput warriors.
Look them up.
You might be surprised.
